Performs routine and specific maintenance services which may include grounds work.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nPerforms daily routine maintenance and repair on the facilities and equipment to include plumbing, sheet rock, electrical, carpentry, mechanical equipment repair, painting, sign making and changing, etc.,\nMaintains general plant and facilities in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment.\nCompletes work orders and hazard reports in timely and efficient manner. Reports and fixes equipment malfunctions or breakdowns and all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to the director immediately.\nEnsures maintenance supplies are ordered, locally picked up or obtained and properly stored in maintenance area.\nFollows up-to-date preventative maintenance and repair schedule and completes report.\nAssists in maintaining parking lot and sidewalks, lawn care and landscaping as needed.\nInspects and maintains emergency power equipment, tests/starts generator once a week and maintains equipment; ensure inspection and maintenance of fire alarm system to include testing system, fire doors, audible alarms, visible alarms(lights) and smoke detectors and records data on appropriate forms as required by state or facility; checks condition and readiness of extinguishers monthly; inspects and maintains lighting system throughout facility. \nInspects and maintains plumbing system, replaces or repairs faucets, toilet stools, urinals, traps, drains, basins and bathtubs, as needed; repairs or refinishes furniture in rooms, offices and dining room as needed.\nAssures that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of workday, etc.\nAssists with ongoing compliance with fire and disaster drills and actual situation preparedness-conducting required drills as directed.\nPrepares rooms for meetings and arranges furniture for facility functions.\nAvailable to be on-call and work weekends as necessary\nWorks with external contractors as requested.\nAssists with client transports as requested.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nTwo or more years’ experience in maintenance or facility operations required; health care facility preferred.\nKnowledge of standard and safe maintenance practices, procedures, and tools in the general building/maintenance trades.\nAbility to operate a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.\nLICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:\nCertification or licensure in trade such as electrical, plumbing or HVAC, etc. preferred\nValid state driver's license (if required by state and facility).\nCPR and de-escalation and restraint certification may be required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). \nFirst aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.\nWORK LOCATION:\nThis position is onsite at the facility and is not a remote position.\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:\nThis position is an Individual Contributor.\nWhy Stone River Recovery Center?Stone River Recovery Center offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
