Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a positive, supportive and structured environment, under the direction of charge nurse or supervisor.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nJob Description\n-$22-$27/hr Base Pay\n-Full-time Evening Shift 3p-1130p, rotating weekends\n- Tuition Assistance\n-Benefits- Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days\n-Flex Pay-Daily pay option\n-PTO package\n-Much more!\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nMonitors shift change activities to assign staff, review staffing for the units and adjusts as necessary.\nFacilitates and monitors client care and programming.\nAssists the Charge Nurse with assignments for BHAs, group coverage, charting, breaks, environmental and safety rounds and codes.\nEnsures the wellbeing of clients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment, under direction of charge nurse or supervisor.\nApplies de-escalation techniques to help manage client’s emotions, behavior and participation in treatment.\nFacilitates the individual admission and discharge processes, as well as client transfers.\nFacilitates person-centered planning process with individuals to assess and develop plans based on their needs.\nEnsures proper, accurate and timely documentation of client information and progress.\nTrains and mentors direct care staff during the shift as necessary, or as assigned by supervisor.\nAudits individual records to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Reports issues to supervisor as necessary regarding compliance.\nResponds to individual, family and guardians regarding concerns.\nReports pertinent information to the supervisor in a timely manner.\nAssists with clients and covers unit as necessary to maintain ratio.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent with four or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment required; OR Associates Degree in a human service field with two or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment required.\nTwo or more years’ experience with the population of the facility preferred.\nUnderstands common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served.\nExceptional knowledge of and skills in verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention.\nLICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:\nCPR certification and de-escalation training required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).\nFirst aid may be required based on state or facility.\nWORK LOCATION:\nThis position is onsite and is not a remote position.\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:\nThis position is an Individual Contributor.\nWhy The Farley Center?The Farley Center offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
