Summit will provide the tools you need, along with your commitment to customer service and drive to excel, to have a successful career in electrical supply distribution.\n Role Summary\nSummit’s warehouse delivery associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers’ needs for materials and services by pulling customer orders, ensuring their accuracy, preparing them for delivery, and safely and promptly delivering material to customer job sites. Warehouse delivery associates represent Summit to our customers and have opportunities to gather valuable customer feedback and needs that they can pass on to Summit’s sales team. When not on a delivery, these associates participate in other warehouse activities. This role is one of Summit’s entry level branch positions and an excellent role to be introduced to the business and learn skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities at Summit.\nPrinciple Accountabilities\nMaintain a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and weekly vehicle inspection reports\nPull customer tickets to fulfill orders.\nLoad and unload Summit trucks\nSafely deliver products to customer locations.\nProvide exceptional service to all customers.\nAbility to use iPad to review orders and collect signatures\nReport all delivery issues and concerns\nPrepare orders for shipment to customers.\nReceive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.\nUnderstand products and their capabilities and warranties.\nAssist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.\nEnsure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.\nMaintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit’s commitment to a safe workplace.\n Essential Qualifications and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nExcellent driving record\nAt least 21 years of age\nValid Driver’s License\nTime management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written\nFlexibility - ability to effectively adapt to change\nStrong customer service orientation\nBeneficial Skills and Experience\nPrevious warehouse or driver experience\niPad or tablet experience\nCustomer service experience\nAbility to perform duties with minimal supervision\nAptitude for learning\nPhysical Challenges\nAbility to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis\nAbility to operate standard warehouse equipment\nAbility to operate commercial vehicles\nPre-employment assessments, drug, and background screens are administered.\nDOT medical exam is required for all drivers.\nProfessional appearance required.\n Not sure if this position is right for you?
