Performs consistently as a subject matter expert, to achieve communicated objectives to include profitability, growth, and overall performance metrics.\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:\nResponsible for achieving branch objectives through enhancement and improvements of operations and sales\nOversight of the branch’s fire extinguisher inspections & services; pre-engineered inspections, services, & installs;fire sprinkler inspections, service, & installs; and fire alarm inspection & services.\nResponsible for the financial performance of assigned area, as indicated on Profit & Loss (P&L) statement(s) as well as area’s gross revenue, gross margin, and overhead.\nCommunicate and strategize with management regarding financial progress, growth strategies, human capital requirements and regular or irregular needs of the office.\nEnsure proper execution of internal workflow/paperwork, work in the field, quality assurance / quality control, and all work is performed in a safe manner within local, state federal guidelines.\nMaintain proper employment communication and documentation using company procedures and policies, in conjunction with Human Resources. Maintain appropriate staffing levels with Talent Acquisition.\nIdentify, assess, cultivate, and mentor future managers and leaders within location. Communicate development strategy with management.\nOversee proper use, maintenance and repair of company assets including equipment, tools, supplies, and fleet in coordination with corporate Purchasing and Fleet department.\nManage work performed within assigned area including:Oversight of spot checks of recent field inspections for the purpose of reviewing quality of services and customer satisfaction.\nOversight of ride-a-longs with field Technicians for the purpose of training and improve customer care, quality control, work efficiency, work safety, product and service up- sales, and new customer cold calling.\nOversight of route management of Technicians and adjust when needed to approve route efficiency; train the CSR and/or Technician on how to schedule efficiently\nResponsible for overall safety of the branch location\nAttend and monitor install project meetings and other coordination meetings, as needed\nOversee coordination and execution of inspections and service jobs in assigned area.\nLead coordination of final checkout/commissioning with AHJ, Owner, Architect/Engineer, General Contractor/Construction Manager, etc.\nEnsure appropriate and necessary communication of schedules, product/material, information, coordination of work, etc. is achieved between Sales and Operations to allow for planning and scheduling\nReview the Shop’s material preparation, orders, job staging and tool preparation appropriate for job scheduling.\nEnsure proper use, maintenance and repair of tools, equipment and fleet are achieved.\n\nManage material orders to regulate standard stock quantities in coordination with Purchasing department for order placement.\nOversee communication of assigned area and Billing department for accurate and timely invoicing practices.\nOversee the sales department with business development to achieve increased market share in the assigned area. Participate in quote presentation for legacy customers.\nPromote and coordinate continuing education and certification of employees.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nThe qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.\nEducation, Training, Certifications:\n5+ years in the Fire Protection Industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, required\nNICET II, III, IV or state equivalent, preferred.\nExperience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:\n5 years Fire Protection Industry experience, required\n5 years of professional computer skills, preferred\n2 years leadership experience with over 10 direct and indirect subordinates, required\n3 years analytical using business intelligence systems, Sage 300 CRE, or similar, required.\nCommunication Skills:\nMust have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers and board or directors.\nSystems and Software Skills:\nAbility to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office required.\nOther Qualifications:\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, required\nMust be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement\nMust be able to travel 50% of the time.\nPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform Essential Job Duties.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods.
