Coordinate the key activities of the Alarm Service Department Team along with key administrative duties as assigned. The Alarm Service Manager ensures adherence to the SFS’s quality program.\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:\nManage the Alarm Service Department field personnel as needed to build first class service team. \nManaging and completing all open work orders within 30 days of creation. \nSchedule all field activities and proper coordination with customers, using appropriate staffing planning tools. Assists when problems are encountered. \nReview employee time sheets for accuracy. See that they are submitted on a timely basis to meet payroll deadline. \nAssist Service Sales Representative in pricing service work in accordance with SFS’s pricing structure. \nEnsure that Alarm Service Department personnel are responsive to customer and office requests and that sound processes are in place to respond to emergency calls 24-hours each day. \nPurchase or rent all equipment needed for each job and specific need. \nVisit job sites as needed and maintain communication between customer and field teams. \nCommunicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner. \nReview all field employees per company policy. In cases where disciplinary action is required, suspensions and terminations are to be coordinated with the Service\nManager and/or District Manager with appropriate documentation entered in personnel files.\nEnsure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies. \nEnsure that field personnel’s company provided vehicles are clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies. \nEnsure that all tools are maintained in proper working order. If damaged, ensure that tools are labeled indicating their status. New tool purchases are to be coordinated with the Service and/or District Manager. \nEnsure that each quarter, each Alarm Technician completes a tool inventory checklist and reports any lost or stolen tools. \nEnsure all field employees are trained in accordance with company policies and that all field employee licenses remain current. \nUnderstand and follow SFS’s Safety program, SDS book, Hazardous communication program, policies and procedures. Ensure all required safety training is scheduled and conducted in accordance with company policy. Ensure all field employees follow all site-specific safety policies. \nOther duties may be assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nThe qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.\nEducation, Training, Certifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent, required. \nBachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent, preferred.\nNICET or state specific certification, preferred.\nExperience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:\n5 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, required.\nNICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, required.\nFire Alarm Systems Agent (FASA) Certification, required.\n5 years of professional computer skills \n1+ years Supervisory experience within Fire Alarm.\nCommunication Skills:\nMust have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.\nSystems and Software Skills:\n1 year using business intelligence systems, Sage 300 CRE, or similar, preferred.\nOther Qualifications:\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. \nMust be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.\nMust be able to travel 90% of the time, locally.\nPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform Essential Job Duties.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift 50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.\nWork Environment:\nEmployees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise.
