Additionally, the Sprinkler Service Operations Manager is responsible for tracking budget and margin targets to meet profitability goals and coordinating the key activities of the field service activities along with key administrative duties.\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:\nManage the service field personnel as needed to build first class service team. Review all field employees at least annually.\n\nWorking with Service and Branch Manager to achieve budget success.\n\nReview employee time sheets for accuracy. See that they are submitted on a timely basis to meet payroll deadline.\n\nDetermine pricing for repairs, inspections, services, and full-day projects.\n\nEnsure that service personnel respond to service calls and that sound processes are in place to respond to emergency calls 24 x 7 x 365.\n\nEnsure that all field employees understand SFS’s safety policies.\n\nSchedule all field activities, using appropriate manpower planning tools. Assists when problems are encountered.\n\nPurchase or rent all equipment needed for each job and specific need.\n\nEnsure that all tools are maintained in proper working order.\n\nVisit job sites regularly and track margin on closed work; communicating between customer and field teams.\n\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nThe qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.\nEducation, Training, Certifications:\nHigh School, GED, or equivalent, required.\n\nExperience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:\nMinimum of 5 years of service related field experience, required.\n\nAbility to motivate field teams to meet and exceed project schedules.\n\nPossess strong leadership and communication skills.\n\nCommunication Skills:\nMust have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.\n\nSystems and Software Skills:\nFamiliarity with analytical using business intelligence systems, Sage 300 CRE, or similar.\n\nOther Qualifications:\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.\n\nMust be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.\n\nMust be able to travel 90% of the time.\n\nPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform Essential Job Duties.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift 50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.\nWork Environment:\nEmployees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise.
