Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws concerning human resources (i.e., Federal and State Minimum Wage Laws, Affirmative Action, Immigration Reform Control Act,\nEqual Employment Opportunity Act etc.).\nAdvise management and employees on legal concerns on a pre-emptive and reactive basis.\nMaintain, enforce, and recommend improvements for company policies, procedures, and processes.\nMaintains human resource information system (HRIS) records in company elected system and compiles reports from the database. \nParticipate, as requested, in onboarding experience not limited to assignment and review of pre-employment items, preparation of employment agreements, assignment and successful completion of the HR onboarding items, correct entry of employee data in the appropriate HRIS system(s).\nMaintain employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resources information confidential and following organizational standards.\nAid managers with progressive discipline approach to include training, witnessing and proper documenting of events.\nSubmit employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data; reports are not limited to turn over, employee census and EEO data.\nIn conjunction with risk management staff, administers policies and procedures for a safe work place. Works with risk management staff in developing region-specific programs. Ensures all accidents and injuries are reported to the appropriate parties. \nAssists in conducting employee relations investigations as required. Attends all necessary hearings as a representative for the company. \nMaintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status change data.\nAssist with the due diligence and acquisition preparation, as requested.\nProvide onsite support, as assigned, for Human Resources projects and acquisitional needs, as assigned.\nSort and distribute HR mail accordingly.\nCoordinate employee events as the need arises.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nThe qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.\nEducation, Training, Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or similar; required.\nNationally accredited certificate in Human Resources, preferred; examples: SHRM SCP or CP, HRCI PHR or SPHR, or similar.\nExperience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:\n3-5 years’ Human Resource Generalist experience required. Must be able to work alone and as part of a team. Basic math skills, customer service experience, problem solving skills, decision making skills, ability to multitask, conflict resolution experience, and the ability to plan and organize is required.\nCommunication Skills:\nMust have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.\nSystems and Software Skills:\nAbility to operate a computer and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience required. HRIS experience required.\nOther Qualifications:\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. \nMust be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement\nFrequent travel required, up to 30%.\nPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform Essential Job Duties.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods.
