Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.\nEssential Job functions:\nComply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas\nRecognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them\nMaintains a clean and safe work environment and maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws\nComplies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials\nRespond effectively to all emergencies\nStrong focus on customer service and creating positive interactions with team and clients\nMaintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts\nAssist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment\nPerform general interior maintenance - hang pictures, repair office furniture systems, minor plumbing\nWorks well with outside vendors\nPerform outside maintenance of grounds, including snow removal by hand and by equipment\nResponsible for emergency response after hours to report/assist with alarm system via medical fridge/freezer alerts and building alarm systems\nNeeds to be comfortable with building operations programs that control HVAC systems and boilers, daily checks and adjustments via computer or physical location as required\nCompletes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned\nMoves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested\nPerform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations\nParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs\nDocuments work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system\nAbility to communicate status of work activity and identify methods to perform activities safely, effectively, and efficiently\nOther assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of a facility maintenance professional\nOther duties as assigned\nPhysical Job Requirements:\nCandidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, and with climbing on ladders\nPushing and Pulling, taking frequency into consideration\nPhysical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account\nPhysical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place\nDexterity of hands and fingers\nEndurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking)\nBalance is maintained during climbing, bending and/or reaching\nEnvironmental Risks:\nAllergens: dust, mold and/or pollen\nCombative Patients / Visitor\nEducation, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:\nHigh School Graduate/GED required\nCompletion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of three years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical\nCandidates must possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written\nAbility to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required\nSuccessful candidate must be self-motivated who can work independently or on a team\nStrong multi - tasking, organizing & priority setting required (multiple projects can be open at one time)\nCertifications in applicable skills preferred\nExperience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred\nExperience with Microsoft Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred\nAbout Our Commitment\nTotal Rewards at VillageMD\nOur team members are essential to our mission to reshape healthcare through the power of connection.
