We are innovating value-based care and leveraging integrated applications, population insights and staffing expertise to ensure all patients have access to high-quality, connected care services that provide better outcomes at a reduced total cost of care.\nPlease Note: We will only contact candidates regarding your applications from one of the following domains: @summithealth.com, @citymd.net, @villagemd.com, @villagemedical.com, @westmedgroup.com, @starlingphysicians.com, or @bmctotalcare.com.\nJob Description\nThe X-ray Technologist is responsible for producing high quality radiographs following CityMD X-ray protocols, procedures, and Department of Health regulatory compliance in an efficient and accurate manner.\nEssentialFunctions/Responsibilities\nPerforming the more common X-ray studies in a reasonable amount of time as suggested below:\n\nChest X-ray: 3 minutes\n\nExtremityX-ray: 3-5 minutes per order\n\nSpinal X-ray: 4-6 minutes\n\nAbdomen X-ray: 4-6 minutes\n\nProperly documenting X-ray studies performed and facilitating the communication between the Provider and Radiologist by using all internal X-ray and care coordination software\n\nKeeping an accurate record of QC logbooks including pregnancy consent form, daily check off list, patient logbook, repeat/rejectsso as tobe fully compliant with the Department of Health\n\nTroubleshooting equipment and software malfunctions and informing Site Manager and X-Ray Manager when service needs to be contacted\n\nAssisting with patient flow and utilizing the flag system to maintain good communication between all clinical staff members\n\nPerforming vital signs and documenting results in the EMR\n\nAssisting with CLIA waived tests, EKGs, splints, sling placement, and proper use of crutches\n\nHelpingmaintainthe cleanliness of the site, including waiting room, exam rooms, labs, common work areas, X-ray suite, and break room\n\nEnhancing the culture of healthcare by providing exceptional patient care, safety, and best practice\n\nQualifications \nGraduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program\n\nPreferably 4-6 months previous experience in the field\n\nStrong communication skills,in order toprovide clear instructions to patients on the process of procedures performed\n\nThe ability to:\n\nperform basic X-rays of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankleoposition patients for X-ray, adjust restriction devices and equipment to set exposure factors\n\ndetermine patient's' X-ray needs by accuratelyinterpreting special instructions from the provider\n\nuse beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff (ALARA principle)\n\nFlexibility with full-time work schedule including weekends\n\nStrong aptitude for detail, organizational skills, problem solving capabilities, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, or with a team of healthcare professionals\n\nHave functional and practical knowledge of various computer systems\n\nHappy, positive, creative thinker, committed to building and maintaining healthy working relationships\n\nBilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location.\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThe job may require lifting light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical or facility supplies).
