This is a full time opportunity.\nExamples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)\nPosts patient charges to the billing system for assigned site locations, using appropriate codes (ICD-10 / CPT).\nMakes corrections to billing information, as appropriate.\nMaintain acceptable performance metrics to ensure superior quality of charge submission.\nReview charges for appropriate high-risk coding.\nMaintains knowledge of carrier specific coding requirements and edits.\nAttends training and other meetings as appropriate; keeps current on revisions related to coding and computer skills.\nCross-trains other staff in charge entry functions, skills, and updates, as coordinated with the AR Department Manager or Site Manager.\nMaintains work area in neat and orderly manner.\nMaintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.\nActively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.\nMaintains Billing and Coding certification.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma required.\nExperience\nPrefer one-year coding experience in a medical office setting or health information associates degree.\nCertification/License\nBilling and Coding certification required.
