It's a regulated, business critical domain where reliability and compliance directly affect whether merchants and partners can trust the system to move their money correctly.\nWhat you'll do\nBuild, evolve, and maintain backend services for the LATAM side of the Transfers ecosystem, covering Pix, TED, bill payments, and payouts\nDeliver features end to end, from design through to production, following the squad's engineering standards\nContribute to Pix stability and compliance work, including integrations and alignment with Brazilian Central Bank requirements\nWrite clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, and take part in code reviews to help raise the team's quality bar\nWork closely with the engineering manager, product manager, and fellow engineers to turn requirements into well-scoped technical tasks\nFlag technical debt, risks, or blockers early, and contribute to resolving them\nYou'll be great for this role if\nProfessional software engineering experience, with strong skills in Go, Java or Kotlin.\nSolid understanding of software design principles, clean code, and automated testing.\nExperience working with relational databases and writing optimised SQL queries.\nTrack record of delivering features end to end in a production environment.\nAbility to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and communicate progress proactively.\nWhy you should join SumUp\nOpportunity to work with a truly global, multicultural team from our dynamic São Paulo or Florianópolis hub.
