This role is a senior partner to the Head of Tax across the Group's tax agenda. You'll lead the implementation and operationalisation of corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax strategy, and you'll help shape the positions and policies behind it. You'll bring your own judgement to the most important topics, from how Pillar Two, CbCR, and ATAD III affect our structure to how we manage tax risk in audits, and you'll help the Head of Tax turn those views into a clear Group direction. This role reports to the Global Head of Tax and will have an impact on SumUp's IPO readiness.\nWhat you'll do\nLead delivery of SumUp's tax agenda across corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax, within the Group tax strategy set by the Head of Tax\nOversee the transfer pricing framework and its implementation, and propose improvements to both substance and automation\nDraft and maintain tax policies, controls, and governance documentation for Group entities, for sign-off by the Head of Tax\nAct as the first point of contact for tax authority audits and controversies, keeping the Head of Tax aligned on positions and exposure\nProvide independent technical judgement on high-stakes tax positions, challenging assumptions and bringing options and recommendations to the Head of Tax\nPartner with Tax Compliance and Tax Operations to keep strategic positions compliant and operationally workable\nLead the Pillar Two and CbCR implementation, turning requirements into practical plans for affected markets\nLead, develop, and prioritise the tax team, and deputise for the Head of Tax when required\nYou'll be great for this role if…\nSenior tax experience across corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and indirect tax in a multinational, combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical delivery.
