It's a chance to build a function from the ground up, working closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance and Operations to diversify SumUp's supplier base and strengthen supply resilience for years to come.\nWhat you'll do\nDefine sourcing strategies for hardware commodities and raw materials, balancing cost, quality, supply continuity and scalability\n\nLead supplier identification, qualification and selection through RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, backed by competitive benchmarking\n\nNegotiate pricing, lead times, capacity commitments and contract terms to secure reliable, competitive supply agreements\n\nBuild and maintain a diversified, resilient supplier base, tracking performance and addressing risks such as single sourcing or capacity constraints\n\nPartner with Engineering, Quality and Operations teams on new product introductions, cost reduction projects and supplier audits\n\nOwn sourcing cost targets, track market trends and cost drivers, and report savings and performance to Finance\n\nYou'll be great for this role if...\nStrong track record in strategic sourcing and supplier selection, ideally within hardware, electronics or manufacturing\n\nConfident commercial negotiation skills, with experience securing pricing, capacity and contract terms that protect quality and supply continuity\n\nSolid understanding of supplier contracts, commercial terms and cost structures, including should-cost and total-cost-of-ownership analysis\n\nExperience managing supplier performance through scorecards, reviews and corrective action plans\n\nComfort working with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Quality, Finance and Operations to turn sourcing plans into results\n\nWhy you should join SumUp\nOpportunity to work with SumUppers globally on large-scale fintech products used by millions of businesses worldwide, from our Berlin office.
