Works closely with plant department heads, contractors, project stakeholders, and corporate project engineering team.\nLOCATION: Valparaiso, IN\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nDefine and clearly articulate project scopes that meet or exceed all corporate, site, and/or regulatory requirements. \nObtain quotes from approved contractors and vendors.\nSubmit Capital Authorization Requests.\nInitiate and track Management of Change process ensuring stakeholders are completing their actions to schedule.\nImplement projects from cradle to grave while ensuring the work is done safely, to schedule, on budget, and on quality.\nMonitor and work with contractors to correct any deficiencies in safety compliance, schedule adherence, quality control, or approved status compliance.\nActively manage and track spending. Provide periodic status updates to the plant leadership team.\nEnsure plant drawings, procedures, and other critical records and documentation are updated based on additions or changes related to the projects.\nProvide project management and contractor oversite support to maintenance and offsite corporate project managers.\nServe as a technical resource for other departments.\nAssist with troubleshooting technical and manufacturing problems, root cause investigations, and implementing solutions.\nOther duties as assigned. \nREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or other related engineering or technical discipline\n3+ years’ experience working on capital projects\nStrong communication skills across a range of disciplines not limited to tradespersons, operators, mechanics, technical staff, and leadership.\nProficient user of MS Office products\nIn depth practical knowledge of occupational and process safety requirements such as LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, PPE, etc.\nStrong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision are critical.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nMaster’s in in a related field and/or project management accreditation\n3+ years’ experience working in a PSM facility\n3+ years’ experience in heavy industry such as chemical, paper, refining, etc.\nManaged projects above $1 M\nBENEFITS\nWe offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k)+match and life insurance.
