(Essential)\nCreates and optimizes content for both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences by incorporating search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), structured content, and audience-focused messaging. (Essential)\nWrites user experience (UX) content, including navigation, calls to action (CTA), forms, booking and leasing workflows, error messages, and confirmation messaging to support customer engagement and conversion objectives.\nCollaborates with Brand & Creative, Digital Marketing, MarTech, Marketing Business Partners, and other stakeholders to align content strategy with editorial and marketing calendars.\nConducts research and interviews with residents, guests, team members, vendors, and other stakeholders to obtain information for content development and storytelling initiatives.\nAssists in coordinating content development efforts across multiple projects and marketing initiatives while managing competing priorities and deadlines.\nProvides content direction, feedback, and editorial guidance to freelance writers, agencies, and external content contributors to ensure consistency with brand standards.\nUtilizes AI-powered writing, research, and content optimization tools to support content creation while applying sound editorial judgment, factchecking, and quality standards.\nAnalyzes content performance metrics, including search visibility, engagement, and conversion data, and uses insights to recommend and implement content improvements.\nDevelops and maintains marketing content within internal communication platforms, content management systems, and other designated channels.\nOther duties as assigned.\n Requirements\nBachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, English, or related field (Required)\n5 years in experience in professional writing, content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or related field (Required)\nMust have a valid driver's license\nStrong writing and copywriting skills with the ability to create clear, compelling content across digital and print channels\nDemonstrated storytelling and conversion-focused copywriting abilities, supported by a portfolio showcasing a variety of content formats and audiences\nKnowledge of SEO and GEO best practices, including how content earns visibility and citations in generative and answer-based search experiences\nAbility to write UX and product copy, including microcopy, calls to action, and conversion-focused user journeys in partnership with design and digital teams\nExceptional grammar, editing, and proofreading skills, with advanced knowledge of AP style and brand voice development\nProficiency in using AI writing and research tools while maintaining strong editorial judgment, accuracy, quality, and brand consistency\nAbility to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder priorities in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment\nStrong interpersonal, interviewing, and communication skills with the ability to translate insights into audience-focused content\nExperience creating content strategies that support customer engagement, brand awareness, and business objectives\nKnowledge of distributed, multi-unit, or portfolio-based businesses, including real estate, hospitality, travel, or similar industries preferred\nBENEFITS\nAt Sun Communities, you will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded and transformed.
