They conduct building maintenance repairs and are responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, equipment & various utility systems. Maintenance Technicians provide excellent customer service to prospective & current guests and residents at all times, and may assist with site setups to ensure timely arrivals and departures of resort guests and residents.\n Job Duties\nEmpty trash, shovel, perform maintenance or repair duties, use power equipment, drills or other hand tools (Essential)\nCompletes minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed (Essential)\nCompletes routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs, plumbing, sewage, construction & street repair (Essential)\nInspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly, repairs as necessary (Essential)\nInspects playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as needed (Essential)\nEnsures the resort is presentable and inviting at all times and that it adheres to Sun's curb appeal standards\nRegularly treats for weeds, weed whips, rakes leaves, plants flowers/shrubs, spreads mulch/woodchips/stones, trims shrubs and hedges, cuts down and removes tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and performs other lawn care services as necessary\nEnsures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed\nCleans resort amenities which may include clubhouses, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, resort offices, restrooms, laundry areas, bath houses, and maintenance garage\nMaintains vacant sites, including strap-downs & removal of trash and debris\nRemoves snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances and other areas Sun is responsible for maintaining, where applicable. May include using a truck with a plow, spreading salt, snow blowing, and/or shoveling\nInspects tied down RVs, park models, and mobile homes for cleanliness, rust, damage, and other problems prior to permitting their sale\nCompletes checklists of physical condition of resort sites prior to and after guest occupancy.\nAssists Resort Manager with supervision of service contractors\nReports all maintenance issues and concerns that may be identified while performing daily duties to manager\nEnsures all resort streets and public access routes are free of hazards\nMaintains resort pool(s), tests chemical levels, and adjusts appropriately, where applicable\nMaintains resort vehicles and equipment\nFollows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site & picking up supplies\nOther duties and special projects as assigned\n Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)\n6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)\nDemonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work\nAbility to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work\nGeneral knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance\nProficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery\nAbility to provide legible written reports\nAbility to work well independently as well as on a team\nMust be able to lift at least 50 pounds\nBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet\nAvailability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call\nMust have a valid driver's license\nREWARDING BENEFITS\nAt Sun Outdoors, you will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded and transformed.
