{"id":2694963,"url":"https://alion.io/job/sun-king-marketing-associate","title":"Marketing Associate","company":{"id":177485,"name":"Sun King","domain":"sunking.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/sun-king","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Pinpoint","truth_index":null},"role":"Marketing","role_family":"Marketing","seniority":"middle","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Lusaka, Zambia"],"countries":["ZM"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":14500,"max_usd":37000,"period":"year","method":"global_role_cell_scaled_by_country","sample_n":2798},"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-15T09:52:39Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-20","last_verified_at":"2026-10-22T05:09:26Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":6,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":6},"description":"Job Location: Ndola\n\nAbout the role:\nThe Marketing Associate will will leverage their expertise in planning and implementing marketing and brand activation activities for the entire life cycle of all Sun King products and services.\nWhat you would be expected to do:\nTrade coordination\nWork closely with the sales team to align trade marketing activities/campaigns.\nBe in forefront of the activity planning process, clarifying trade activities, and schedules.\nProvide market, in-trade, and other companies insights into the brand processes.\nEnsure synchronization of the trade activities with the overall brand plan. \nPlanning and execution for new product and service launches.\nConduct regular trade visits for research and to assess activations and launches in key markets.\nPre and post-marketing campaign evaluation through estimated ROI and market feedback as well as market data readings when applicable.\nAssess success & prepare closing reports for all campaigns and launches.\nTrack monthly activities & generate monthly reports.\nTrade visibility.\nWork closely with the procurement team to requisition for branding materials, POSM, merchandise, and other resources required for visibility drives across the country.\nManagement of all local council requirements related to visibility.\nCarry out audits as per market itineraries to evaluate the execution of trade visibility as per required standards.\nManage appointed agencies & train them on visibility guidelines and a picture of success.\nEnsure the development & deployment of all marketing materials.\nFurnish the input needed for budgeting for visibility and any other BTL materials.\nSun King Store Branding and Merchandising\nEnsure store location is at a vantage point and within Sun King standards.\nSupervise and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely execution of store branding as per signed-off artwork, and set standards and Turnaround timelines.\nOversee the design and production of in-store displays, signage, and other merchandising materials.\nConduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with merchandising standards and gather feedback.\nAgency management.\nDevelop and manage close relationships with agencies and suppliers.\nDrive cost productivity in procurement.\nManage agencies in the implementation, execution and evaluation of marketing campaigns.\nWork closely with finance to give activity cost forecasts for proper financial planning and efficient achievements.\n Data Checks and Reporting:\nCheck sales data and market trends to assess the effectiveness of all marketing activities.\nPrepare regular reports on marketing performance and provide insights on areas improvement.\nAny other duties allocated to help the business. \nYou might be a strong candidate if you\nHave a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.\nHave at least 3 years of experience in trade marketing, preferably within the FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sectors.\nAre highly energetic, passionate.\nHave excellent communication skills, with strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation abilities.\nHave a strong knowledge of trade marketing, sales strategies, consumer behaviour and Experience in developing and executing trade marketing plans and campaigns\nHave a willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, visit retail locations, and attend industry events.
