As an Associate Group Underwriter, you’ll evaluate risk, analyze pricing opportunities, and help provide insurance solutions that balance Client needs and business objectives. Working closely with sales partners and other stakeholders, you’ll contribute to the growth and profitability of Sun Life’s Group Benefits business.\nWhat will you do?\nAssess risk and determine pricing, financial terms, and contractual conditions for Group Life, Disability, Health, Dental, and Critical Illness products.\nComplete renewals, quotations, plan change requests, and new business analyses within established service standards.\nPartner with sales teams to understand Client needs, evaluate risk profiles, and support business growth opportunities.\nProvide insights and recommendations that help Clients manage risk and benefit plan costs while meeting profitability objectives.\nWhat do you need to succeed?\nUniversity degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze numerical and financial information.\nSound judgment, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain decisions clearly in writing and verbally.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nAn environment of continuous learning, development, and improvement.\nA caring, supportive, and inclusive culture.\nCare Days available for self-care or care of others (i.e., family or others you may support) and Sick Days to support your well-being.\nFlexible Benefits from the day you join to meet the needs of you and your family.\nPension Plan participation starts immediately, and you are automatically enrolled.
