This role leads regional transformation programs with a strong focus on agile and AgentOps practices, and shapes innovative business and IT solutions in the insurance domain, including new-age digital platforms, cloud-native applications, AI/ML,LLM-powered decision-making, and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will combine deep insurance domain knowledge with modern architecture expertise, disciplined technology governance, and the ability to influence senior executives across Asia business units and Corporate.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the IT architecture for all projects and programs, focusing on innovative business and IT solutions in the insurance domain such as new-age digital platforms, cloud-native applications, AI/ML, LLM-powered decision-making, and data-driven insights\nDrive the entire solution architecture lifecycle for regional transformation programs, from conceptualization through execution, applying agile and DevOps practices\nEvaluate proposed solutions to ensure a high degree of sustainability, scalability, and seamless integration with the existing application landscape, leveraging modern architectural patterns and emerging technologies\nProvide governance on solution architecture and technology standards across the region, with a focus on cloud, microservices, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and data-centric architectures\nDefine and govern the target state cloud architecture on Amazon Web Services (AWS), designing containerized, serverless, and event-driven services as well as the machine learning and Generative AI platform components that underpin regional transformation programs\nIdentify and evaluate industry-leading insurance solutions and emerging technologies that address business challenges across new business, underwriting, claims, document management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), workflow, payments, and point-of-sale\nServe as primary architecture liaison between the Private Wealth Business Unit and the Regional Office IT Architecture team, translating business objectives into target state architecture and roadmaps\nConduct briefings and presentations to senior executives, both internally and externally, showcasing the value of technology-driven business transformation\nPartner with Product Owners, solution designers, and technical leads on design reviews, architecture walkthroughs, and integration patterns, resolving blockers to protect delivery timelines\nInfluence senior executives (CxO level), functional heads, senior managers, and peers across Asia business units and Corporate on cross-functional matters, advocating for the adoption of innovative solutions\nEnsure architecture decisions comply with enterprise security, risk, data privacy, and regulatory requirements applicable in Singapore and across the region\nLead cross-functional teams to resolve large, complex, and broad technical problems, working independently and driving outcomes to meet program objectives\nQualifications:\nMinimum Bachelor's degree, preferably with a Master's degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline\n15+ years of IT experience, including a minimum of 7+ years in the insurance industry with a focus on the application of emerging technologies\nDemonstrated expertise in developing cloud-native, microservices-based, and API-driven insurance solutions\nHands on experience applying emerging technologies including AI/ML, Generative AI (GenAI), big data, and Internet of Things (IoT)\nHands-on experience architecting and delivering solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred, spanning cloud-native services such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions, as well as Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock for machine learning and Generative AI workloads\nThorough understanding of common patterns, frameworks, and reference architectures for the insurance domain, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation\nProven experience leading regional transformation programs and driving the adoption of agile and DevOps practices\nStrong understanding of IT governance, risk, and compliance within the financial services or insurance industry\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex architecture concepts into business outcomes\nExperience influencing senior executives (CxO level) and collaborating with teams across geographies\nSelf-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive outcomes\nProactive approach to identifying and resolving architectural risks before they impact delivery\nAsia regional experience is an advantage\nAdditional Requirements:\nKnowledge of data privacy regulations (PDPA)\nFamiliarity with architecture governance and design review board processes\nIT risk assessment and management\nStakeholder management and relationship building\nCritical thinking and decision-making under pressure\nAbility to work in the Singapore time zone, with
