Generally, employees are expected to work three or more days in-office each week with flexibility depending on their business, client and team needs.\nJob Description:\nManaging Director, Head of SLC Compensation Delivery - SLC Management\nWhat is in it for you:\nThe Managing Director, SLC Compensation responsible for developing and managing compensation programs that support the business objectives of line of business compensation within SLC.\nReporting to the Head of Total Rewards, SLC Management, you will lead a small but mighty team that partners with business and HR Leaders, and leverages data and analytics, to design, implement and manage compensation strategies and programs that produce measurable outcomes.\nDeliver a modern, compelling, and integrated compensation plans that drive performance and reward long-term value creation.\nIn this key leadership role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's compensation philosophy and programs to drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.\nWhat you will do:\nLeads and delivers SLC’s core compensation programs, including the annual compensation cycle, market benchmarking, salary and incentive design, compensation recommendations, and job evaluation, while ensuring robust governance and compliance with applicable legislation.\nChampions SLC’s compensation philosophy, partnering with HR and business leaders to design and deliver programs aligned with business strategy and talent priorities.\nActs as a senior Total Rewards leader, contributing to SLC rewards strategy, promoting employee-centric and integrated delivery across total rewards, and supporting capability-building and talent development for the future.\nBuilds strong, trusted relationships with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams; provides consultative partnership to understand strategic priorities and translates those insights into compensation solutions that support business objectives.\nDevelops sophisticated financial and data models to support compensation decision-making, including workforce planning, headcount growth, and staffing scenarios.\nPartners with HR and Communications teams to design and execute effective communication and change-management strategies that enhance the employee experience and the perceived value of rewards programs, including market research, internal analysis, scenario modeling, impact assessment, and transition planning.\nMonitors external market, regulatory, and industry trends impacting compensation programs and proactively identifies strategies and responses to maintain competitiveness and compliance.\nServes as a key member of M&A teams, leading HR due diligence assessments and supporting post-transaction integration and implementation.\nWhat you need to succeed:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience\n10+ years of experience and a university education in Business, Human Resources or a related field. An MBA or MIR is an asset.\nPossesses a growth mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo, try new things, test & learn and empower others to do the same, innovates and finds new solutions that solve business problems or create business opportunities.\nAnchors decisions in facts, leverages data to generate new insights and opportunities, clearly defines and measures business outcomes to identify course corrections and measure success. Informs strategies and decisions through knowledge of current external research and trends.\nBrings deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies and programs. Experience with asset management compensation and M&A due diligence andor integration work is a significant asset. Broader experience in total rewards is beneficial, though not required.\nFocuses on developing people through coaching, continuous feedback, career development, and performance management.
