This position will report to the Software Engineering Director for Canadian IT.\nWhat you will do?\nAs a servant leader, manage structure and people within a team of Front End and Full Stack Developers\nCoach and mentor staff to develop a high performing, highly motivated and engaged team of professionals.\nEffectively hire and retain talent (full-time, offshore, third-party), with a long-term resourcing focus.\nMonitor and evaluate performance by providing timely and regular feedback on personal and team goals.\nTrack and monitor financial information for key activities, as required.\nDevelop and manage organizational expertise within the software engineering discipline.\nWork with delivery partners to evolve roadmaps with expected outcome.\nGuide and assist with technical and process initiatives to deliver on our client purpose.\nCollaborate with peers to define and evolve standards and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with those standards and best practices, including Web Accessibility WCAG 2.1.\nDevelop and manage capabilities of team members through coaching, training, and mentoring\nEnsure teams have the necessary equipment and tools to successfully meet commitments\nPromote a learning environment to develop team member skills, aligning with industry trends and organization goals.\nWhat you will need to succeed?\n5+ years of experience in Talent Management - recruitment and selection, onboarding, coaching, performance management and development.\nDemonstrated management and expertise with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies in a distributed development environment.\nSoftware design knowledge and experience with application, data, security and infrastructure is a bonus.\nStrong technical and business acumen.\nAs this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nCompetitive salary and bonus structure.\nPension, stock and savings programs to help build and enhance your future financial security.\nAn environment of continuous learning and improvement.\nFlexible hours and work from home options.\nTravel may occasionally be required to Montreal, Toronto and/or Waterloo.\nThe Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.
