As a member of the Stop Loss Underwriting team, you will be a part of the leading direct provider of stop loss insurance in the United States. This is a great opportunity to join the Sun Life Stop Loss Underwriting team!\nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nVerify customer information within the system to ensure accuracy.\nIdentify and obtain missing information material for assessment and/or pricing of the risk.\nInput customer logistics to enable generation of the quote.\nAnalyze information on industry, demographics, and other standard criteria.\nWorking with a mentor, evaluate, price and propose rate and strategy on Stop Loss new business within new business guidelines.\nCommunicate pricing to internal sales and underwriting partners\nManage assigned workload to meet internal productivity and time service standards as well as field office priorities.\nOther duties as assigned\nCore skill sets needed for this role:\nAbility to work with a diverse range of people\nStrong excel skills\nRequires strong time management skills\nRequires the ability to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong math, communication, negotiation and analytical skills required\nExcellent written communication skills\nProactive, able to manage multiple tasks with demanding deadlines\nHighly-motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attentive to detail\nThe Candidate\nTo be eligible for an internship at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements:\nCurrently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (June 2027 - August 2027)\nMust be an undergraduate or graduate student in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field of study\nEligible to legally work in the United States\nAbility to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the Intern session\nNot ready to apply yet but want to stay in touch?
