We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by driving maintenance initiatives, improving equipment performance, and ensuring facility and utility systems remain compliant, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Facilities teams while supporting critical production operations in a cGMP-regulated environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintenance & Reliability\nMonitor work order status and collaborate with maintenance mechanics to ensure timely closure of open work orders.\nEnsure preventive maintenance (PM) activities and equipment breakdown work orders are executed efficiently and on schedule.\nReview preventive maintenance programs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.\nSupport unscheduled maintenance activities and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime.\nMaintain manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and achievement of production targets.\nAssist with equipment qualification activities and continuous improvement projects.\nUtilities & Facilities Management\nMaintain and support critical utility systems, including:HVAC Systems\nUSP Water Systems\nBoilers\nCompressed Air Systems\nHot Water Systems\nElectrical Distribution Systems\n\nMaintain facility operations in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.\nCoordinate major maintenance shutdowns with Manufacturing and Project teams to minimize operational disruptions.\nMaintain spare parts inventory to reduce equipment downtime and support maintenance activities.\nCompliance & Documentation\nSupport the preparation and forecasting of annual maintenance budgets, including major projects and anticipated expenses.\nWrite, review, and execute technical documentation, including:Change Controls\nInvestigations\nStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nValidation Protocols\nFinal Summary Reports\nQualification Documentation\n\nEnsure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with cGMP requirements and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\nQualifications:\nRequired\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.\nMinimum three (3) years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.\nExperience within an Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) environment preferred.\nStrong technical and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate engineered systems, equipment performance, quality systems, and compliance processes.\nWorking knowledge of cGMP regulations and good documentation practices.\nExperience preparing and executing technical documentation, validation protocols, investigations, and change controls.\nStrong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.\nSelf-motivated professional with a hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and build strong cross-functional relationships.\nIntermediate English proficiency (CEFR B1+ or equivalent).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, packaging systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.\nKnowledge of facility compliance requirements related to FDA, OSHA, and environmental regulations.\nExperience leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and operational efficiency.\nWork Environment:\nThis position works across a variety of environments, including:\nCorporate office areas\nManufacturing and production facilities\nWarehouses\nUtility and equipment support areas\nThe role may include exposure to:\nManufacturing equipment and production noise\nDust, fumes, gases, and odors\nMoving mechanical equipment\nElevated work areas and scaffolding\nChemical and electrical hazards\nIndustrial maintenance activities requiring strict adherence to safety procedures\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and reach.\nAbility to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to navigate office, laboratory, warehouse, utility, and manufacturing environments.\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses/goggles, and safety shoes.\nTravel:\nUp to 5% travel may be required.\nWhy Join Us?\nJoin a growing pharmaceutical organization where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the systems that keep production running safely and efficiently. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan.
