Additionally, demonstrate a collaborative spirit, knowing that we ‘Thrive together’ and support each other’s journeys.”\nKey Responsibilities\n Drive EHS Culture ExcellenceDevelop, strengthen, and sustain a proactive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) culture across the site through employee engagement initiatives, awareness programs, leadership involvement, and active management support.\n\nEnhance EHS Awareness and Capability BuildingDesign and conduct EHS training programs for employees and contractors, promote best practices, and implement innovative initiatives to improve safety, health, and environmental awareness throughout the organization.\n\nRegulatory Compliance ManagementAdvise and support the Factory Manager and the site in ensuring compliance with the Factories Act, environmental regulations, and all other applicable statutory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental management.\n\nImplementation of Corporate EHS StandardsPartner with the Factory Manager and functional leaders to effectively implement and sustain corporate EHS policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines across the site.\n\nOperational Safety OversightEnsure adherence to all safety requirements on a day-to-day basis, monitor compliance through inspections and audits, work permits and provide support to the Site/Location Head during emergency situations and crisis management.\n\nSafety Committee CoordinationOrganize and facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings, track action items, and ensure timely implementation and closure of identified improvements and corrective actions.\n\n Incident Investigation and Corrective ActionsLead investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to identify root causes and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\n\n Environmental Compliance and Effluent ManagementEnsure proper operation and performance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and compliance with applicable environmental regulations. Monitor treated effluent quality to consistently meet standards prescribed by the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB).\n\nHazardous Waste ManagementEnsure safe handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with statutory requirements and corporate standards.\n\nEHS Management SystemsMaintain and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, including audits, reviews, and certification activities.\n\n EHS Budgeting and Resource ManagementPrepare and manage the annual EHS Operating Expenditure (OpEx) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources and timely execution of approved projects.\n\nGovernment and Regulatory LiaisonMaintain effective relationships and regular coordination with regulatory authorities, including the DISH Officials, SPCB officials, Fire Officials, Underground Water Authority and other statutory bodies, to ensure compliance and facilitate regulatory approvals and inspections.\n\nRisk Assessment and Continuous ImprovementLead risk assessment programs, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive initiatives aimed at achieving world-class EHS performance and operational excellence.\n\nContractor Safety ManagementEstablish and monitor contractor safety management systems to ensure compliance with site safety requirements and safe execution of all contracted activities.\n\nEmergency Preparedness and ResponseDevelop, maintain, and periodically test emergency response plans, conduct mock drills, and ensure preparedness for fire, chemical, medical, and environmental emergencies.\n\nExperience: 18+ years’ experience\nEducation: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences | Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety\nYour Success Matters to Us\nAt Sun Pharma, your success and well-being are our top priorities!
