The Accounts Assistant reports directly to the Group Finance & Accounts Manager or, in their absence, to the Director of Finance & Administration. The role focuses on supporting efficient accounting operations by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, in alignment with the Company’s policies and the latest financial standards. \n\nJob Duties\n\nAccounting Operations: Support general accounting tasks, including preparing payment vouchers, cheques, staff claim verification, and customer billing and collection.\n\n2Software Utilisation: Post transactions in accounting software to finalise monthly Profit & Loss accounts and generate reports.\n\nInter-Branch Coordination: Prepare and manage inter-branch billings and payments.\n\nDaily Financial Activities: Ensure accurate daily collection records, balance fees, and manage deposits. 5. Payroll & Compliance: Assist in preparing staff salaries, statutory payments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.\n\nFinancial Reporting: Compile reports on banked-in collections, advance fees, deposits, student insurance, and visa fees.\n\nTransaction Processing: Prepare payments, student refunds, bank reconciliations, and maintain petty cash imprest.\n\nInvoicing and Adjustments: Generate e-invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and refund notes, including consolidated e-invoice submissions.\n\nRecord Maintenance: Maintain accurate journal entries, fixed asset records, and depreciation schedules.\n\nCorrespondence and Queries: Handle routine requests for assistance and accounts-related correspondence.\n\nTeam Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.\n\nAd Hoc Tasks: Execute other duties as assigned by the Accounts Manager or Director. Minimum Job Requirements\n\nDiploma in Finance or Accounting; ACCA or equivalent professional qualifications are advantageous.\n\nAble to speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
