This role is part of a 10-year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you’ll contribute to mission-critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team.\nWhile the majority of work is performed on-site at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a DevOps Software Engineer, you’ll help design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture. You’ll also support systems administration, installation, configuration, and the broader adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll collaborate closely with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.\nYou will work with a multidisciplinary group of developers, integrators, and system administrators to:\nDeploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka\nEnhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability\nDesign and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments\nUse Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements\nPartner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities\nContribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models\nParticipate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s\nActive TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph\nStrong Linux proficiency\nHands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes\nExperience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab\nFamiliarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana\nDemonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments\nBonus Points\nExperience operating systems at scale\nKnowledge of Agile methodologies\nDevelopment experience (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.)\nExperience supporting enterprise or production systems\nFamiliarity with:\nKafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS)\nKubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)\nGPU-based Kubernetes\nSALT for deployment automation\nHelm / Helmfile\nNexus\n-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nWho We Are \nSunayu, LLC serves as a premier technology partner to the Defense and Intelligence communities, delivering mission-critical engineering solutions across the nation.
