If you are interested in pursuing a rewarding career,we invite you to review our opportunities!\nJob Description Summary\nYard ForemanAre you seeking an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace that allows you to:\nDevelop a career track\nLeverage your current skills while developing new skills\nWork with an incredible team of people\nSunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Yard Foreman.\nResponsible for maintaining the yard in good order, for supervising the loading and unloading of trucks, and the storage of equipment.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nAssigns day-to-day work to Yard employees.\nAssists Yard employees in daily duties.\nEnsures that the yard is in good safe working order.\nEnsures safety policies and procedures are followed.\nDirects Yard employees in daily yard operations.\nAttends all weekly safety meetings and morning huddles.\nAssists walk-in customers by offering a high level of customer service.\nChecks work orders to make sure appropriate equipment is staged for loading.\nPerforms daily inspections for yard forklifts.\nAssists customers by filling orders and loading trucks.\nInspects returned equipment for damage during the rental period.\nMaintains a checklist of equipment status.\nAids in identifying TBR/DBR fleet and communicating with Yard Manager.\nMaintains yard organization and cleanliness.\nEnsures safe work habits for all staff and provides assistance and coaching as necessary.\nPerforms other duties as assigned by the Manager.\nRequirements:\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh School diploma plus 3+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred\nExperience in equipment shipping and receiving\nClear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirements\nPersonal and professional integrity\nDemonstrated use of tools and equipment\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
