Every service, model, and architectural decision we make directly impacts our products, our customers, and the future of financial technology.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an experienced and highly driven Deputy CISO to join Sunbit's Security leadership team, reporting directly to the CISO.\nThis is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping and scaling the security program of a fast-growing fintech company. As Deputy CISO, you will serve as the CISO's trusted partner, helping drive the organization's security strategy while leading day-to-day execution across multiple security domains.\nYo will oversee both the Security Operations , Security Engineering and GRC organizations, managing team leads and security professionals across Israel and abroad. This role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, technical depth, operational excellence, and people leadership.\nThe ideal candidate brings experience from large-scale, cloud-native environments and has successfully led security programs spanning Security Operations, Security Engineering, Compliance, Risk Management, and Security Architecture. You will work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, IT, Product, Legal, Compliance, and executive leadership teams to continuously strengthen Sunbit's security posture while enabling business growth.\nWhat You'll Do\nDrive execution of strategic security initiatives across the organization\nPartner closely with the CISO to define and execute Sunbit's security strategy and roadmap\nTranslate business objectives into scalable security programs and controls\nAct as a key stakeholder in security governance, risk management, and decision-making processes\nHelp shape the future of Security at Sunbit, including emerging domains such as AI Security and Security Automation\nOrganizational Leadership & Business Partnership\nLead and mentor multiple security teams, including Security Operations and Security Engineering, through direct management of team leaders and global security personnel\nBuild scalable operating models, KPIs, governance processes, and organizational structures that support Sunbit's rapid growth and global expansion\nPartner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, IT, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Risk, and Business leaders to ensure security enables business objectives while managing risk appropriately\nCollaborate extensively with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a dynamic global environment\nDrive the adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve security effectiveness, operational efficiency, and scalability \nDrive alignment between security priorities, business goals, customer commitments, and regulatory requirements\nFoster a culture of accountability, innovation, operational excellence, and security ownership across the organization\nEnsure security initiatives scale effectively with company growth, evolving technologies, and expanding business operations\nServe as a key escalation point and decision-maker for complex organizational, operational, and security challenges\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For:\n10+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Security Engineering roles\n5+ years of leadership experience managing security teams and managers\nProven experience leading security programs in large-scale, high-growth organizations\nStrong background across multiple security domains, including Security Engineering, Security Operations, Cloud Security, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Governance\nExtensive experience securing cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)\nDeep understanding of security architecture, security controls, and modern security technologies\nExperience working with regulatory frameworks, audits, compliance programs, and risk management processes\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, and Business teams\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nFluent English, with extensive experience working with global teams and international stakeholders\nNice to have\nExperience in fintech, financial services, or highly regulated environments\nExperience leading AI Security initiatives or security automation programs\nHands-on experience with modern security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Wiz, Okta, SIEM, and Identity solutions\nRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or equivalent\nExperience building and scaling security organizations\nWhy This Role Is Different\nStrategic leadership position reporting directly to the CISO\nOpportunity to influence and shape the future of Security at Sunbit\nOwnership of both Security Operations and Security Engineering functions\nLead managers and global security teams across multiple locations\nDrive cutting-edge initiatives in AI Security, Automation, and Cloud Security\nJoin a rapidly growing fintech company where security is a key business enabler\nHigh visibility, broad impact, and a clear path for executive growth\nRecruitment Fraud Disclaimer\nWe’ve been made aware of fraudsters impersonating Sunbit employees during the hiring process.
