We help teams say “yes” more often and help customers move forward with confidence.\nThe Role\nWe are hiring a Director, Brand Creative (Design) to lead and elevate the visual identity of Sunbit across every consumer and business touchpoint. This is a senior creative role that sits at the heart of our marketing organization, partnering closely with our Director, Copywriting & Editorial to ensure our visual identity and messaging work in lockstep.\nReporting to the CMO, you will own the full design function: from brand identity systems and design language to campaign creative, digital and product marketing design, motion and video, and executive presentations. As a leader in the continued evolution of our visual identity, your work will shape how millions of consumers and thousands of merchant partners experience and connect with Sunbit as we scale nationally.\nOperating in the FinTech space means the bar for precision is high. Attention to detail is essential: every asset we put into the world must be consistent, clear, and compliant. This role is ideal for a senior designer and creative leader who understands that rigorous brand standards and bold visual storytelling are not in tension but are two sides of the same coin.\nRequirements\nWhat you’ll do:\nVisual Identity & Design Systems\nOwn and evolve Sunbit’s visual identity, design language, and brand guidelines across consumer and merchant audiences.\nLead the continued evolution of our visual identity, ensuring it remains distinctive, consistent, and fit for purpose as the company grows.\nBuild and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and templates that translate complex fintech offerings into clear, human visual experiences.\nPartner with Copywriting & Editorial to ensure design and copy are developed in tandem, with consistent visual and narrative cohesion.\nServe as the design authority across the marketing org, upholding consistency, quality, and compliance in all outbound creative, with a meticulous eye for detail given the regulatory standards of operating in the fintech space.\nCampaign & Content Design\nArt direct and design integrated marketing campaigns across paid media, OOH, digital, email, CRM, and social.\nLead design for the website, landing pages, and product marketing materials.\nProduce and oversee social, editorial, and content design that supports brand authority and performance.\nDirect motion, video, and photography, from concept and storyboards through final edit, collaborating with creative and production partners.\nExecutive & Investor Design\nDesign investor decks, board presentations, and executive narratives in partnership with leadership.\nSupport PR and communications initiatives with visual assets, brand imagery, and event and trade show creative.\nDesign internal communications and environmental branding that bring company strategy, brand, and culture to life for employees.\nCross-Functional Collaboration & Creative Leadership\nAct as a key creative partner to demand gen, CRM, partner marketing, and product teams, ensuring design needs are met with speed and quality.\nBuild and maintain design processes, project intake, and creative review workflows.\nHire, mentor, and manage design talent (in-house and freelance) as the function scales. •Establish and govern a centralized asset library and DAM, ensuring approved brand assets are accessible and up to date. What Success Looks Like\nSunbit has a clear, distinctive, and consistent visual identity that resonates across consumer, merchant, and investor audiences, and continues to evolve with intention as the company scales.\nEvery asset that goes into the world is compelling, on-brand, and meets the precision standards required in a regulated industry.\nDesign and copy function as one integrated creative unit, producing work that is on-brand, on-strategy, and on-time.\nThe CMO and leadership team have a trusted creative partner who elevates every major communication.\nA scalable design infrastructure is in place, with documented standards, efficient review workflows, and a growing team, that keeps pace with the company’s national expansion.\nWhat You'll Bring:\n10+ years of design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead creative role, ideally in-house at a consumer brand, fintech, or high-growth company.\nA versatile, world-class designer with a portfolio that demonstrates range: brand identity and campaign creative, digital and performance design, motion and video, and executive presentations.\nDeep expertise in building visual identity systems, brand guidelines, and design systems from the ground up.\nProven ability to collaborate with copy, brand, and marketing teams in a fast-moving environment without sacrificing craft.\nStrong art direction instincts and the ability to give clear, constructive creative direction to other designers and agency partners.\nExceptional attention to detail.
