The company has been actively adding domestic and international subsidiaries and is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the AVP of Finance for the Northern and Southern Regions. The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the growing finance and accounting team and will report directly to the AVP of Finance. The incumbent will assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts, financial reports, presentation materials, and provide ad hoc analysis for the organization.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nActively assist in developing and optimizing the forecasting and reporting models\nPrepare & standardize reports and projections\nIdentify trends in financial performance, identify risks & opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvement\nConduct quantitative analyses surrounding budgeting, forecasting and analysis to support company-wide objectives\nAnalyze and monitor trends from financial metrics to identify variances\nAssist in developing finance and business presentations\nDesign reports in the company’s ERP system (Oracle) and consolidation/reporting package (OneStream)\nStreamline data exchange between systems and sources\nDocument departmental processes\nPerform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:\nSuperior analytical skills\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nOrganized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions and diverse teams\nAbility to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines\nAbility to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities\nHigh energy, high ownership of work product \nMust have a mix of attention to detail and a sense of urgency/results orientation \nAbility to approach problems from different perspectives to suggest and implement solutions\nWork Environment:\nThis job takes place in an office with weekly meetings in a Steel Mill, requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment.\nPhysical Demand:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen in potentially noisy indoor and outdoor environments.
