You will support process operations, maintenance, and engineering by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing process control system equipment such as pressure, flow, level, temperature, pH, control valve, gas detector, etc.\nMinimum Requirements:\nA High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)\n\nA valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Suncor\n\nKnowledge of low voltage distribution systems, distributed control system (DCS) operation and configuration, programmable logic controller (PLC) operation/programming,electrical/instrumentcontrol device settings and calibrations, reading and interpreting circuit, process and instrumentation diagrams\n\nAn Associate's Degree (diploma) in the Instrument and Controls field\n\nOR successful completion of a formal program in the field of Process Instrumentation through military service or crafts apprenticeship program with 5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment (calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS, rebuild control valves, etc).\n\nOR current Instrument Society of Automation (ISA) Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level I and 5 years of recent practical experience in maintenance of industrial instrumentation and controls equipment (calibration of smart transmitters, PLC, DCS, AMS, rebuild control valves, etc)\n\nResponsibilities:\nTroubleshoot problems and find opportunities to improve the reliability of the refinery’s equipment\n\nPerform calibrations, loop checking, troubleshooting, repair, and start-up on field devices\n\nImplement programs for preventive and predictive maintenance of instrumentation systems\n\nPlan work, including equipment evaluation and selection\n\nUse charts and data to conduct analysis and properly diagnose equipment failures\n\nImprove uptime production numbers by providing calibration accuracy and reliability\n\nRespond to callouts and emergencies and provide major maintenance support\n\nUse SAP to capture work orders, instrument reports, maintenance and reliability data, and fault codes trend analysis\n\nLocation and other Key Details:\nYou will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd.\n\nHours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday OR 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, depending on business needs\n\nPaid overtime, often 100-600+ hours per year based on plant needs\n\nYou will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces\n\nThis position is safety sensitive\n\nIn alignment with Suncor’s value of Safety Above All Else, we conduct pre-employment drug testing, employment verification, education verification, background checks, and other pre-employment assessments as a condition of employment\n\nHourly Rate and Compensation Details:\nThis is a union represented position under USW 12-477\n\n$55.16 per hour with annualincreases\n\nCompetitive and flexible employee benefits package that can be adjusted to suit the changing needs of your life, including: 3 medical options (including HSA and FSA options), 2 dental options, vision coverage, and an Employee Assistance Plan\n\nExcellent 401(k) plan with up to a 6% vested match\n\nSuncor-funded Cash Balance defined benefit pension plan (vests in 3 years)\n\nRelocation support will be provided\n\nThink we are a fit?
