You'll spend your time in market, meeting with brokers, understanding their businesses, supporting their success and identifying opportunities to grow together.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs our next Business Development Manager, you'll manage and grow a portfolio of broker partners across Auckland and the Upper North Island, helping to drive profitable growth whilst delivering exceptional service and support.\nNo two days are the same, but you can expect to:\nBuild trusted, long-term relationships with brokers and become their go-to contact.\nIdentify opportunities to grow business across your portfolio and increase product penetration.\nDevelop and execute account plans that deliver strong commercial outcomes.\nInfluence broker placement decisions through trusted partnerships and market expertise.\nWork closely with underwriting teams to secure competitive solutions for brokers and customers.\nSupport brokers with complex submissions, major renewals and new business opportunities.\nPromote the Vero brand, products and capabilities in market.\nMonitor market trends and share insights that help shape regional growth strategies.\nTravel regularly to maintain strong broker relationships and market presence. \nWhat you'll bring\nSuccess in this role comes down to your ability to build meaningful relationships, identify growth opportunities and deliver results.\nYou'll bring experience in business development, relationship management, account management or a similar commercial role, along with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and achieve outcomes.
