Joining Suncorp’s Corporate Legal Advisory team, you will receive hands-on exposure to a wide range of complex legal work and you will collaborate with an experienced legal team and commercial stakeholders. Your work will span commercial agreements, M&A transactions, capital raisings and general corporate advisory matters.\nYou will work directly with stakeholders across the Group, building your confidence and commercial judgement while contributing to interesting and meaningful matters.\nAt Suncorp, you’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive culture where people collaborate, share knowledge and learn from each other. Flexible and hybrid working, including 50% work from home, helps you balance focused work with valuable time alongside your team.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Trans-Tasman Insurer and take that next step in your career.\nWhat You'll Do\nDraft and review commercial agreements, including procurement, sponsorship, partnership and technology contracts.\nSupport M&A transactions, capital raising activities and other corporate projects.\nPrepare legal research, first drafts, practical advice and matter updates.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge management, (including by use of Suncorp’s legal AI platform).\nSupport in the configuration of Suncorp’s legal AI platform for use by other parts of Suncorp’s business to support contract negotiation and contract lifecycle management.\nWork closely with senior lawyers and stakeholders across the Group.\nIdentify and advise on legal, commercial and regulatory issues and escalate them appropriately.\nBuild your technical capability through training, coaching and varied legal work. \nWhat You'll Bring\nHold a law degree, admission to practise and a current practising certificate.\nBring one to three years of post-admission commercial legal experience from a mid-tier or top-tier law firm.\nDemonstrate experience in, and developing knowledge of, corporate and commercial law in relation to general commercial contracting and preferably in M&A transactions, corporate governance, head office advisory and capital raisings.\nApply sound legal research, drafting and analytical skills.\nBring a keen, diligent approach and a genuine interest in learning and development. \nWhat You'll Enjoy\nAccess our award-winning Shine platform - your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
