We're looking for a motivated Product Specialist to join our Consumer Portfolio team in Auckland and play an important role in supporting the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of our consumer insurance products.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for someone with insurance product experience who enjoys working across a variety of stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping ensure our products remain competitive, compliant and aligned to customer needs.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs Product Specialist, you'll support the ongoing management and enhancement of our Consumer product portfolio, helping deliver positive customer and business outcomes.\nYou'll:\nSupport the development, enhancement and lifecycle management of consumer insurance products.\nAssist with product and policy reviews to ensure products remain relevant, competitive and compliant.\nMonitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments, providing insights and recommendations to support product improvements.\nContribute to the maintenance of product documentation, technical specifications, underwriting guides and training materials.\nSupport the development of systems, tools and processes that improve product management and operational efficiency.\nPartner with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, legal, risk, compliance, distribution and operations to deliver great product outcomes.\nAssist Product Managers and the Manager, Underwriting Solutions in executing product strategy, governance activities and portfolio initiatives.\nContribute to product, compliance and systems training across the business.\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across multiple priorities and contributing to meaningful business outcomes.\nExperience in product development, product management or a related role within general insurance.\nStrong understanding of insurance products, regulatory requirements and market dynamics.\nExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.\nA customer-focused mindset supported by sound commercial judgement.\nTertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or a related discipline and/or insurance qualifications will be highly regarded.\nWhy join us?\nAt Suncorp New Zealand, we're proud to be part of one of Australasia's leading insurance groups.
