Working closely with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders, you'll build strong relationships, deliver tailored insurance solutions, and contribute to the successful execution of Vero’s Specialty Lines Strata strategy.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAs an Underwriter, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and success of Vero’s Specialty Lines Strata portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:\nManaging and underwriting a portfolio of Strata business, including new and existing customers.\nAssessing risks and making sound underwriting decisions in line with business objectives and risk appetite.\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders.\nDelivering responsive, solution-focused service and support to customers and intermediaries.\nCollaborating with internal teams to achieve positive customer and business outcomes.\nContributing to portfolio growth, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat you'll bring\nMinimum 2-3 years' experience in Strata underwriting, with Commercial Strata underwriting experience highly regarded.\nOpen to relevant Underwriting, Claims, Broking & Strata Management professionals.\nStrong technical underwriting capability with the ability to assess risk and make sound commercial decisions.\nDemonstrated experience building and maintaining strong broker and stakeholder relationships.\nExcellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercially focused mindset.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.\nA collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.\nKnowledge of insurance market trends, underwriting principles, and risk management practices.\nAt Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
