You will play a key role in turning prototypes into reliable, manufacturable products, working hands-on with early designs and suppliers to ensure quality and scalability.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer excited about working across the full product lifecycle - from whiteboard sketches and 3D CAD to testing, validation, and manufacturing handoff.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for wearable and robotic devices\n\nRapidly prototype, test, and iterate on designs to improve performance and reliability\n\nContribute to DFM/DFA efforts to ensure designs can scale from low-volume prototypes to high-volume production\n\nWork with vendors and suppliers on prototyping, tooling, and production readiness\n\nPerform basic analyses (tolerance, structural, thermal) to validate design decisions\n\nAssist in documentation for design reviews, testing, and production release\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, industrial design) to integrate mechanical systems\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n2+ years of mechanical engineering experience (this post includes all levels)\n\nStrong skills in CAD (OnShape or SolidWorks preferred) and a familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, machining, etc.)\n\nUnderstanding of DFM/DFA principles and interest in scaling prototypes to production\n\nExperience working on consumer hardware, robotics, or compact devices is a plus\n\nHands-on problem-solving approach with ability to iterate quickly\n\nStrong collaboration skills and comfort working in fast-paced startup environments\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus, but not required)\n\nAt Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people - curious, creative, and diverse.
