recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Inventory Controller\n\nLocations: Abuja, Warri & Asaba - Delta, Owerri - Imo, and Lagos\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Inventory Controller/Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring optimum stock availability across the store.\nThe role oversees inventory control processes, conducts stock analysis, monitors inventory performance, identifies and investigates stock variances, and provides actionable insights that support effective replenishment, minimize inventory losses, improves stock turnover, and enhance overall operational efficiency.\n\nEssential Job Functions\n\nReview adjustment reports and validate inventory corrections before approval.\nEnsure timely resolution of stock variances.\nWork closely with Internal Audit and Loss Prevention teams to strengthen inventory controls.\nParticipate in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory exercises.\nConduct daily reconciliation of physical inventory against system records.\nMaintain inventory integrity through strict adherence to stock control procedures.\nMaintain complete documentation supporting inventory adjustments.\nMonitor product availability to reduce stock-outs and lost sales.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/POS system.\nMonitor all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, sales, returns, adjustments, write-offs, and stock conversions. \nEnsure timely replenishment of merchandise based on approved stock levels.\nAnalyze inventory performance and identify trends affecting stock availability and profitability.\nPlan and coordinate daily cycle counts.\nCoordinate periodic departmental stock counts.\nIdentify fast-moving, slow-moving, dormant, obsolete, and excess inventory.\nEnsure all stock movements are properly authorized and documented.\nVerify stock transfers between stores, warehouses, and departments.\nMonitor stock turnover and recommend strategies to improve inventory productivity.\nMonitor inventory shrinkage and identify root causes.\nSupport demand forecasting using sales history, seasonal trends, and promotional activities.\nAnalyze inventory ageing and recommend markdowns, transfers, promotions, or liquidation where necessary.\nGenerate recommendations that optimize inventory investment and improve working capital utilization.\nMonitor inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing overstock.\n\nQualifications & Skills\n\nProficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nStrong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and forecasting.\nApplicant must have either NYSC Discharge, Exemption certificate or Exclusion letter.\nProven experience as a stock controller, or in a similar role within retail (FMCG experience preferred).\nExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret consumer data and market trends.\nMinimum of B.Sc. / HND in Supply Chain Management or related fields\nAbility to train and mentor junior team members.\nStrong interpersonal and
