{"id":2174612,"url":"https://alion.io/job/sunenergy1-solar-electrician","title":"Solar Electrician","company":{"id":696133,"name":"SunEnergy1","domain":"sunenergy1.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/sunenergy1","size_band":"51-200","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Breezy","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":40000,"max_usd":90000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":19516},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-09T12:49:37Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-09","last_verified_at":"2026-10-31T06:15:50Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":21,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":21},"description":"The Solar Electrician must be a highly motivated, team player who is willing to help in all aspects of building a solar farm focusing mainly on the electrical side of PV solar.\nYou will report to a management approved supervisor which may be reassigned as workload changes.\nThe duties of the Solar Electrician as determined by SunEnergy1 standards are to include, but are not limited to:\nWORK REQUIREMENTS\nOversee daily tasks as assigned by Electrical Foreman\nRecognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, and protection of fellow team members within OSHA guidelines\nRead and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings.\nApply knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Solar Electrician\nRepair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, install transformers, hook up inverters, knowledge of breakers, and understanding of SCADA equipment\nDC and AC testing including, but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, and insulation resistance testing.\nEnsures the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for\nSupervise and train apprentice electricians upwards to 10 team members and teach proper, and safe use of tools following OSHA standards\nMust perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar site equipment and wiring under the supervision of the Lead Solar Electrician\nAbility to operate test equipment, such as: voltmeters, meggers, and amp meters\nMust understand the electrical work up to 600/1000 VDC and 480 VAC\nWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the local utility jurisdictions requirements\nWork as a solar farm team crew member and have the ability to help the mechanical and/or other departments as needed\nAbility to preform terminations and electrical connections in regards to PV Solar\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nAbility to work in extreme outdoor environments (example: hot sun, cold, wet weather, mud, etc.)\nHave full range of mobility in upper and lower body\nAbility to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time\nBe able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks\nBe able to lift 50 pounds of weight safely without assistance throughout assigned workday\nMust have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions and environments including stooping, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time during an 8-12 hour shift and able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds without assistance and pushing and pulling of objects is required\nAble to work 8 -12 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required including occasional night shifts\nPhysical work is a primary part (more than 80%) of the job\nRepetitive use of arms, hands and fingers\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nRegular, reliable and predictable attendance required\nAbility to work well with others in a collaborative team environment\nMust display a positive attitude dedicated towards achieving results for the company as well as providing quality service and accuracy\nMust be a team player and able to work between multiple departments to reach a common goal\nMust maintain a clean and professional appearance and attitude at ALL times while at work, while representing or traveling for the company\nResponsible for daily upkeep of your work area\nMust be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime as needed\nMust wear required personal protective equipment at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, etc)\nAdvise immediate supervisor of any safety or job related problems\nMust comply with all OHSA safety requirements and regulations\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
