This individual will oversee technical design, engineering consultants, equipment specifications, and coordination with procurement, construction, and project management teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead substation engineering and design activities across multiple projects.\nOversee electrical one-line diagrams, physical layouts, grounding, protection and control systems, and equipment specifications.\nManage external engineering consultants and review designs for quality, constructability, cost, and compliance.\nCoordinate with utilities, vendors, procurement, and project teams to ensure technical requirements and schedules are met.\nSupport equipment procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and resolution of field engineering issues.\nEstablish engineering standards, quality-control procedures, and design practices.\nMentor engineering personnel and drive continuous improvement in engineering execution.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\n8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including significant substation engineering and design experience.\nExperience leading engineering teams, consultants, or multidisciplinary project activities.\nStrong knowledge of medium- and high-voltage substations, protection and control, grounding, and electrical equipment.\nExperience with utility, transmission, power generation, or renewable energy projects.\nFamiliarity with applicable IEEE/ANSI standards, NEC, NESC, and utility requirements.\nStrong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nExperience with utility-scale solar, BESS, or EPC projects.\nExperience with substations ranging from 34.5 kV to 500 kV.\nFamiliarity with SCADA, protective relays, and substation
