We are looking for a Data Engineer who can turn complex EMS, SCADA and contract data into reliable operational insight across our ESS fleet.Configure, commission and optimise EMS settings, control strategies, setpoints and dispatch logic across the ESS fleet.\nDiagnose EMS faults, validate software and firmware updates, and support reliable system performance.\nServe as the EMS technical contact for Operations and Maintenance teams, the Remote Service Center and HQ.\nConnect and maintain data feeds from customer EMS platforms, the Insight Portal, SCADA telemetry and ticketing systems.\nBuild robust data pipelines that bring operational sources into a consistent, traceable dataset and resolve data gaps quickly.\nDevelop fleet monitoring dashboards and automate LTSA compliance, availability and ad hoc performance reporting.\nYour profile\nSounds like an exciting challenge? To thrive in this role and enjoy a long-term impact, your background could look like this:You hold a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a comparable technical field.\nYou bring experience with SCADA, EMS or industrial telemetry, ideally in ESS, BESS, renewables or a similarly technical environment.\nYou understand BESS control strategies, dispatch logic and PLC behaviour, including hands-on EMS configuration or troubleshooting.\nYou work confidently with SQL and Python or similar languages, time-series data and REST APIs.\nYou have experience building dashboards in tools such as Power BI or Grafana and are familiar with Azure or AWS.\nYou are structured, detail-oriented and able to translate contract requirements into transparent data logic.\nKnowledge of availability calculations and SLA, LTSA or liquidated damages frameworks is a strong advantage.\nYou communicate confidently in English at C1 level; other European languages are a plus.\nWhy us?\nJoin Sungrow Europe's Energy Storage Service team and help shape how we monitor, operate and improve a growing ESS fleet.
