The role revolves around the design and industrialization of all electronic circuitry associated with a modern Li-ion battery and/or an Energy Storage System (ESS). Indicative day-to-day tasks include, but are not restricted to, the design, simulating, prototyping, testing and debugging of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA). The role is based in our Athens HQ, and reports to BMS Software & Hardware Manager.\nKey activities and responsibilities of this role include:\nDesigns and optimizes electronic circuits, defines technical specifications and architectures, and ensures performance, reliability, and alignment with product requirements and the company’s technological direction\nSchematic capture and PCB layout design\nLeads Hardware Test Plan preparation and execution including Hardware regression and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing\nComponent selection and test-setup creation\nPrototypes bring-up, testing, debugging and design verification\nExecute component and system-level simulations and modeling\nSafeguard compliance to IEC/UL standards and regulatory requirements\nProduce and maintain documentation per testing and certification processes\nCollaborate in a team environment across multiple engineering disciplines\nContributing to the improvement of current and development of next-generation Sunlight Energy battery storage systems\nCommunicating with suppliers and external partners\nRequirements\nUniversity Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field\nAt least 5 years of experience as an Electronics Engineer, Embedded Hardware Engineer, Hardware Testing and Verification Engineer or similar role in the industry\nSolid understanding of relevant engineering standards, protocols and regulatory environment in the Global markets\nExperience with PCBA Functional test methods for design verification, regression testing\nFamiliarity with Functional Testing and In-Circuit Testing for production\nExperience with Switching-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) (e.g. DC-DC converters)\nExperience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools (e.g. Altium)\nExperience with circuit simulation and modeling tools (e.g. LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab/Simulink etc)\nFamiliarity with design principles for EMI/EMC/ESD compliance\nExperience in testing, validation and qualification processes for Hardware, including IEC, ISO, SAE, UL and other related to the application standards\nExperience with Battery Management Systems development, hardware-in-the-loop, Electrical Product Safety standards (e.g. UL 60950-1 / 62368-1) and risk assessment, is considered a plus\nFamiliarity with Hardware reliability methods and analysis (e.g. FMEDA, MTBF), functional Safety standards (e.g. ISO 13849, UL 2580) are considered a plus\nFunctional Safety Professional/Expert Certification is considered a plus \nBenefits\nTo start with, we give you the opportunity to thrive in a restless team and grow your potential in an innovative environment.
