Join us!\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nPerform incoming, in-process and final inspections on medical device components and finished goods to verify conformity with internal procedures and specifications.\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nThe specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.\nKnowledge: Acquired through education, certifications, training, experience:\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings for incoming parts and verify that the samples are acceptable. \nProficient at using basic measuring instruments such as calipers, rulers, and gages.\nSkills & Abilities:\nMust have good written and verbal communication skills\nMust have a great attitude and be a great teammate\nMust have high attention to detail and efficiency\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook \nLevel of Experience:\n2+ years Quality Control experience preferred\n2+ years medical device industry experience preferred\nLevel of Education:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nTravel:\nTravel not required.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.\nPerform inspections of incoming materials, subassemblies, and finished devices according to work instructions and specifications. This includes floor inspections throughout production process. \nAccurately document the results of the inspection and testing by completing reports and logs. \nMonitor critical equipment and instruments to ensure proper operation and calibration. \nPerform review of Device History Records (DHR) and other documentation for compliance.\nUse of basic measuring equipment such as height gauges, surface plates, indicators, calipers, micrometers, gage blocks and tensile tester. \nInitiate non-conformance reports as required. \nSubmit product to outside laboratories for additional testing. \nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nFocus on achieving our Company mission.\nDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work; look for ways to improve and promote quality & safety. \nInspire the trust of others; treat people with respect and dignity and embrace the value of diversity.\nUse time efficiently; perform job accurately, thoroughly, and conserve Company resources to improve profits.\nContribute to building and maintaining a positive team environment.\nAssure all policies and guidelines are implemented and followed. \nQUALITY POLICY\nAt AirLife, Quality is our promise.
