Join us!\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Shipping Supervisor will assist in leading administrative operations within AirLife’s Phoenix Distribution Center, our largest owned Distribution Center. This role will need to effectively lead the warehouse by supervising and coordinating activities of the administrative teams by promoting productivity, engagement, and growth while identifying areas of opportunity within our processes and creating plans to improve these processes. The Shipping Supervisor Supervisor is a leader within the building who must demonstrate AirLife’s values in their day-to-day work with customers, teammates, and leadership.\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nStrong knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes and documentation.\nFamiliarity with freight classification, LTL/FTL shipping, and export regulations (e.g., customs, incoterms, AES filing).\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nProficiency in all Microsoft Office products.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with planning and staffing required, and budgeting preferred.\nProven leadership skills, coaching and developing leaders & employees.\nStrong process improvement mindset focusing on continuous growth.\nKnowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems (e.g., WMS).\nAbility to evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives.\nDemonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.\nUnderstanding of P&L.\nAbility to delegate when assigning employee workloads.\nProblem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues. \nClear knowledge of warehouse shipping operations.\nAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment.\nFlexible to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as needed.\nAbility to remain stationary for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.\nLevel of Experience:\n4+ years of supply chain experience, including distribution center, inventory, and transportation experience.\n2+ years of experience leading a team.\nBilingual preferred (fluent in Spanish preferred).\nLevel of Education:\nBachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTravel:\nAs the business needs.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLine Manager Duties:\nTrack productivity, accuracy, and attendance of associates; provide coaching and corrective action as needed.\nManage timecards for direct reports.\nAct as primary point of contact for customer service, third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to confirm pickup times, resolve issues, and ensure service reliability.\nProvide training, coaching, and performance feedback to bullpen personnel to maintain a high-performing team.\nAddress any delays, documentation errors, or other obstacles to maintain workflow continuity.\nProvide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to support team development and achievement of AirLife goals. \nAlign team’s objectives with AirLife priorities, ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of accountability, and upholding AirLife values. \nTake accountability and ownership for actively participating in recruitment processes and supporting fair treatment in disciplinary processes for your team. \nDrive continuous improvement by fostering innovation, operational excellence, and adoption of best practices within the team. \nChampion employee engagement, inclusion, and career development through regular check-ins, talent reviews, and succession planning. \nManage your team’s budget responsibly and exhibit financial accountability. \nIndividual Contributor Duties:\nContinuously improve bullpen and documentation processes.\nOversee scheduling of outbound shipments and trailer rotation to maximize dock efficiency and carrier utilization.\nEnsure accuracy and completeness of all shipping paperwork including BOLs, customs documentation, and shipping and appointment logs.\nMonitor performance metrics (e.g., pick rate, accuracy, attendance) and implement improvements as needed.\nLiaise with 3rd party logistics providers and freight carriers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.\nMaintain and track shipping schedules and performance metrics; proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.\nTrain, coach, and evaluate shipping clerks and loaders on best practices and safety procedures.\nCollaborate with internal departments such as Production, Inventory, and Customer Service to ensure alignment and support order fulfillment timelines.\nPromote a culture of safety by ensuring all team members follow safety policies, wear PPE, and operate equipment properly.\nMaintain accurate shipping records in WMS and other shipment platforms.\nEnforce compliance with all applicable transportation, export, and safety regulations.\nLead bullpen team in communicating efficiently with internal and external customers.\nMaster systems and use mastery to coach team members and continuously improve processes.\nAct as a representative for the administrative team in warehouse leadership meetings.\nCommunicate successes and opportunities of the shipping team to executive leadership\nManage timecards, attendance, and corrective actions for the team.\nEnsure team is following all safety processes.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES\nUphold and embody AirLife’s values in all aspects of work.\nDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work;
