Full Time - to include every other weekend, days & evenings\nPay Range: $13.00/hour - $20.36/hour\nFull Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) + company match, life insurance, disability insurance, Accident, Cancer, Hospital Indemnity, Pet insurance, etc.\nThe Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, appealing food in accordance with established menus, recipes, dietary requirements, sanitation standards, and resident preferences.\nQualifications:\nPrior experience in a food service, institutional dining, healthcare dining, or related position preferred.\nAbility to read and follow written instructions, recipes, menus, labels, diet cards, and other food service information.\nAbility to understand and follow dietary restrictions, food allergies, portion requirements, and resident preferences.\nStrong verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally using proper grammar.\nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team.\nAbility to maintain a positive, courteous, and hospitality-focused attitude when interacting with residents, guests, and coworkers.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and food safety standards.\nAbility to follow established sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures.\nMust demonstrate dependability, reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to assist others.\nMust be willing to attend required training, meetings, and in-services. \nRequirements\nPrepare food according to established menus, recipes, preparation instructions, portion sizes, and meal schedules.\nRead and follow break-down sheets, labels, diet information cards, and other instructions related to food preparation and resident dietary needs.\nPrepare regular, puréed, mechanical soft, and other modified diets as required.\nFollow resident preferences, allergies, special diets, and other dietary requirements to ensure meals are prepared and served appropriately.\nEnsure food is properly prepared, presented, and maintained at the appropriate temperature for resident meal service.\nPrepare and deliver meal trays to the Health Care Center and other areas as assigned.\nMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation, kitchen, dining, and service areas in accordance with applicable Federal and State regulations and company standards.\nProperly operate kitchen and food service equipment, including but not limited to dishwashers, garbage disposals, microwaves, griddles, and toasters.\nWash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, serving trays, and other food service equipment.\nStock, cover, label, date, and properly store food, condiments, and supplies.\nFollow the First In, First Out (FIFO) method when stocking food and supplies.\nCheck food inventory for expiration dates and discard items as required by regulations and company procedures.\nProperly store cleaning chemicals and sanitizing solutions in designated areas.\nPost resident menus and other required dining information.\nBus and reset tables and ensure dining and service areas are clean and properly prepared for the next shift.\nEmpty trash receptacles and transport trash to the designated disposal area.\nAssist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining adequate supplies as needed.\nAssist with training and orienting new employees to the Cook position and department procedures.\nWork special functions, events, and other assignments as directed.\nCommunicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, guests, coworkers, and supervisors.\nDemonstrate a hospitality-focused approach in all interactions and contribute positively to the dining experience.\nMaintain regular and dependable attendance and report to work as scheduled and ready to perform assigned duties.\nAttend required in-services, training sessions, staff meetings, and other educational programs.\nComplete all required training in accordance with Federal and State regulations, company policies, and community standards.\nFollow all company and community policies, procedures, safety rules, and sanitation requirements.\nMaintain good housekeeping practices and use equipment, supplies, and facilities in a safe and responsible manner.\nPerform other duties as assigned. \nSalary Description\n$13.00 -
