What's yours? \nPosition Overview\nThe Quality Engineer is the primary functional role to identify and track quality issues and to organize, plan and manage improvement efforts for Quality in the facility. The plant Director of Operations owns the Quality performance of the plant. The Quality Engineer brings quality improvement skills and methods and full-time focus to the effort. This position leads a team of 5-7 direct reports.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFull-time focus on customer quality...CRR/OIR\nMonitoring and communication of quality issues and trends\nManages a prioritized quality improvement plan for the plant in alignment with the DO\nCoordinates the portfolio of quality improvement projects for the plant.\nLead or mentor quality improvement projects\nLeads quality improvement projects\nCoaches teams involved in Quality Improvement...provides process and tool mentoring\nQuality tools training.\nTeam leadership\nDirectly leads a team of 5-7 direct reports, including quality technicians/inspectors as applicable to the plant.\nSets goals, assigns work, and monitors team performance and priorities.\nProvides regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews; supports hiring and development of team members\nProcess analysis and control\nDevelops control plans for each product line\nStep by step measurements, inspections, acceptance standards, controls and reaction standards\nWorks with Process Engineering to execute proper gauging, lighting, control devices...etc.\nQuality System Execution\nQuality Alerts, White Glove, Cause rework coding...etc.\nCorrective-Action\nAuditing\nPlant procedures, work instructions...etc.\nRespond to and investigate significant quality issues\nNew product launch quality\nDevelop quality control plan\nCapability analysis/validation\nProcess FMEA\nCorrective Action of any pre/post launch quality issues\nGEMBA LEADING REQUIREMENTS:\nPDCA\n5S\n8D\nQUALIFICATION, SKILL and ATTRIBUTE REQUIREMENTS:\nBS Degree (Engineering, Statistics, Math, Business)\n5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing Environment.\n Leadership or supervisory experience preferred, as this role manages 5-7 direct reports.\nSix Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (or capable of becoming certified)\nQuality Systems development/auditing\nQuality training\nProblem Solving\nTeacher/Coach/Mentor\nExpert Quality Systems/Quality Improvement\nWilling to travel\nExpert ability to lead and work in cross-divisional teams\nSolid facilitation skills\nAbility to plan, coordinate and execute multiple complex projects with strict timetables\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nStrong project management skills\nExpert knowledge in working with manufacturing plants preferably with discrete products.\nACCEPTABLE TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:\nBS Degree (Engineering, Statistics, Math, Business)\n1-4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment\nSix Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (or capable to become certified)\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner\nPosition requires regular and predictable attendance\nEmployees are held accountable for all duties of this job\nCOMPANY POLICIES:\nEmployees must be in compliance with all company policies and directives at all times.\nWhat's in it for you?\nAnnual base salary range: $97,000.00 - $131,000.00\nBonus target range: 20% - 30%\nGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability\nA company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growth\nTime off with pay \n401(k) plan with a degree of employer matching\nPaid parental leave\nWellness programs and product discounts.\nCHANGEABILITY:\nFrom time to time, the outlined job description may vary due to the Company’s internal and external needs.
