The Role\nWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised Interior Engineering Team Leader to lead our Interior Engineering team and oversee the complete technical and production implementation of yacht interior projects.\nThe ideal candidate must have solid professional experience in the yacht industry, with a strong understanding of yacht interior outfitting, furniture production, materials, installation, and technical coordination.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role responsible for planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling the work of the Interior Engineering team, while maintaining continuous communication with designers, production, purchasing, and other departments.\nThe Team Leader will act as the key link between design requirements, client expectations, engineering solutions, and production execution, ensuring that all interior elements are delivered according to the required quality, design, technical specifications, and project schedule.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, organise, and coordinate the activities of the Interior Engineering team.\nAllocate tasks and responsibilities to team members according to project priorities and individual capabilities.\nMonitor the progress, workload, and performance of the Interior Engineering team.\nReview and control 3D models, 2D drawings, technical documentation, and production details before release to production.\nEnsure that design requirements are correctly translated into technically feasible and production-ready solutions.\nMaintain continuous communication with interior designers, architects, project managers, and other relevant stakeholders.\nReceive, analyse, and implement client and designer requirements, ensuring that agreed changes are properly incorporated into the engineering and production process.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide technical feedback regarding manufacturability, installation, materials, tolerances, and production methods.\nCoordinate closely with workshop and production teams to ensure that furniture and interior elements are manufactured according to approved designs and technical requirements.\nMonitor the execution and installation of interior furniture and outfitting on board the yachts.\nIdentify and resolve technical and production issues, coordinating with the relevant departments when required.\nEnsure that design changes and modifications are properly documented, communicated, and implemented.\nCoordinate with the Purchasing Department regarding materials, components, hardware, and other interior outfitting requirements.\nReview material and component requirements and ensure that purchasing activities are aligned with project schedules.\nFollow up on procurement status and identify potential delays that could affect production.\nCoordinate with the warehouse/stock team to ensure the availability of required interior materials and components.\nSupport the development and standardisation of interior construction methods, materials, details, and technical solutions.\nEnsure that engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and issued to the relevant departments on time.\nMonitor project deadlines and ensure that the Interior Engineering team delivers its tasks according to the project schedule.\nMaintain clear communication between Design, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Project Management.\nProvide technical support and guidance to Junior and Senior Interior Engineers where required.\nIdentify recurring production or design issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nContinuously improve engineering and production workflows within the Interior Engineering department.\nEnsure that the final product meets the required quality, design intent, functionality, and yacht-specific standards.\nRequirements\nRequirements\nMinimum 5 years of professional experience in the yacht industry, preferably in yacht interior engineering, outfitting, furniture production, or a related field.\nPrevious experience in a team leadership or supervisory position is strongly preferred.\nStrong understanding of yacht interior construction, furniture, materials, hardware, and installation methods.\nStrong knowledge of technical drawings, 3D modelling, and engineering documentation.\nGood knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.\nProven ability to coordinate between design, engineering, production, purchasing, and installation teams.\nStrong understanding of production processes and the practical implementation of interior design solutions.\nExcellent communication and coordination skills.\nStrong spoken and written English.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to make decisions and take ownership of technical and production-related issues.\nAbility to lead a team while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach.\nHigh attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.\nNice to Have\nPrevious experience working on luxury yachts or bespoke yacht interiors.\nExperience working directly with yacht interior designers, architects, or clients.\nExperience in furniture manufacturing, carpentry, or interior outfitting.\nKnowledge of marine materials, hardware, and interior systems.\nExperience with procurement and supplier coordination.\nExperience with project planning and task management systems.\nKnowledge of relevant yacht construction standards and regulations.\nWhat We Offer\nA key
