We are proud to be recognized as a Lawn & Landscape Top 100 company and remain committed to building a workplace where people can grow, contribute, and help raise the bar across our industry.\nPosition Summary\nAs a Crew Leader (Non-Driver) within our Installation division, you will lead and work alongside a landscape installation crew to support the successful completion of residential and commercial landscape construction projects. This role is responsible for directing daily field activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining jobsite safety, and operating company equipment.\nThis team member will play a key role in executing installation projects according to plans, schedules, and project specifications while supporting crew productivity and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is an experienced landscape professional with strong leadership skills, the ability to read plans, and a willingness to work hands-on in the field.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs one of our Crew Leaders, you will:\nCrew Leadership & Daily Operations\nLead and supervise daily landscape installation activities for assigned crews and project sites.\nDelegate tasks and provide clear directions to crew members to ensure efficient workflow and quality completion.\nTrain and develop crew members on proper installation methods, safety standards, and company expectations.\nConduct daily crew start-ups to review project plans, priorities, and safety expectations.\nMonitor crew productivity and labor hours to align with project budgets and schedules.\nLandscape Installation Services\nPerform landscape installation tasks including planting trees, shrubs, and groundcover; laying sod; mulching; grading; and site cleanup.\nRead and execute installation plans and layouts accurately.\nEnsure all installation work meets Sunrise Landscape quality standards and\nproject specifications.\nEquipment Operation\nSafely operate landscaping and construction equipment including skid steers,\ntrenchers, loaders, and hand tools.\nConduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.\nMaintain equipment in clean and safe working conditions.\nQuality Control & Project Support\nConduct field inspections to ensure installation quality and proper project\nexecution.\nCommunicate project progress, material needs, and jobsite issues to\nSuperintendents and Project Managers.\nIdentify and communicate potential field issues or delays proactively.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnforce all company safety policies and ensure crew compliance with OSHA\nstandards.\nEnsure all team members wear required PPE and follow safe work practices.\nReport accidents, injuries, and incidents according to company procedures.\nQualifications & Core Competencies:\nMinimum of 3 years of professional landscape installation experience.\nMinimum of 1-year previous crew leadership or supervisory experience\nStrong knowledge of landscape installation practices, materials, and equipment.\nAbility to read and execute project plans and layouts.\nAbility to lead, motivate, and develop team members.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nReliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.\nBe at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and squat for prolonged periods throughout\nthe day.\nAbility to use hand tools for extended periods of time.\nAbility to lift 30+ pounds multiple times per day in hot temperatures.\nAbility to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, high humidity, and\nrain.\nTo qualify as a Driver of our crew, in addition to the above, you must:\nPossess a valid driver’s license (of at least 3 years) and a clean driving record.\nBe able to pass a drug test.\nWhat We Can Offer You:\nAt Sunrise Landscape, joining our team means more than accepting a job-it means building a\nlong-term career with a company that values professionalism, reliability, and personal growth.\nWe are committed to providing a workplace where you can develop your skills, advance your\ncareer, contribute to a high-performing team, and do meaningful work alongside people who\nembody our core values of accountability, resilience, and collaboration.
