It also means you can solve customer problems in one visit, keeping you safely off the road and moving your career forward.\nOverview\nThe Certified Hybrid Field Technician supports both the beginning and end of the residential solar installation pipeline by performing site assessments prior to installation, inspections post-install, and other lone worker and team field work as needed for the business. This role is critical in ensuring that every project begins with accurate data and ends with a successful final inspection.\nYou’ll follow dynamic, intraday schedules and work across a variety of job sites, helping ensure each system meets both internal standards and local code requirements. This is a fast-paced, field role ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and making a daily impact on operational flow.\nKey Responsibilities\nVisit customer homes to collect detailed measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data required for solar design.\n\nAccurately assess roof conditions, electrical service panels, and property features using standardized tools and protocols.\n\nClimb ladders, walk rooftops, and conduct attic inspections as required.\n\nSubmit all survey data in a timely, complete, and accurate manner using mobile field tools.\n\nPerform post-installation inspection visits to ensure project readiness for final AHJ inspection or utility approval.\n\nConfirm installed systems match approved plans and meet workmanship, code, and safety standards.\n\nCollaborate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection-related issues as needed.\n\nProvide documentation (photos, checklist, notes) verifying inspection readiness\n\nDiscuss system installations with the AHJ and customers\n\nReview completed installations for determination of readiness for inspection\n\nWork with the AHJ and Customer to schedule inspections\n\nSchedule Execution & Field Readiness\n\nFollow daily, intraday schedules that may include both survey and inspection jobs across different locations, while also proactively scheduling work for yourself.\n\nCommunicate clearly with internal teams when facing access issues, delays, or discrepancies.\n\nMaintain assigned tools and safety equipment in proper working condition.\n\nRepresent the company professionally during all customer-facing interactions.\n\nAdditional Expectations\nFlexibility in working occasional weekends, extended shifts or holidays may be required based on market demand or customer scheduling needs.\n\nParticipation in safety briefings, trainings, or field team huddles.\n\nDrive company-provided or approved vehicle between job sites throughout the workday.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n\nMust hold a valid state-recognized Electrical Certification at the Journeyman, Wireman, or higher level, and be in good standing.\n\nPrevious PV design, PV installation or PV electrical experience (such as reading blueprints or plans, using tools and equipment, testing wiring or circuitry, National Electric Code knowledge, basic electrical theory knowledge, etc.) is helpful with a minimum of one year of field construction experience preferred\n\nComfortable working on roofs, using ladders, and working in tight or elevated spaces.\n\nFamiliarity with basic hand tools, measuring devices, and mobile technology.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.\n\nOSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.\n\nMust be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check\n\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\n\nAbility to climb and work from 20-foot ladders.\n\nComfortable working in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and variable weather.\n\nCapable of working in attics and other confined spaces when necessary.\n\nMust be able to walk rooftops of varying slopes and materials.\n\nRecruiter:\nCharles Smith ()Please note that the compensation information is made in good faith for this position only.
