It also means you can solve customer problems in one visit, keeping you safely off the road and moving your career forward.\nOverview\nThe Permit Coordinator is responsible for preparing building permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from local jurisdictions. This position acts as a liaison between Sunrun and jurisdictional employees, working together to resolve any redline corrections and prepare for upcoming requirement changes. The Permit Coordinator communicates the status of each permit, and works closely with internal Sunrun teams to meet branch and company goals.\nResponsibilities\nReview, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements\n\nCoordinate payment and reimbursement of permit fees according to company guidelines\n\nWork with internal teams and jurisdictional employees to understand and resolve any jurisdictional comments\n\nWork with jurisdictions and Sunrun Design Engineering teams to fully understand, communicate, and resolve AHJ corrections\n\nBe an advocate for Sunrun and work with local jurisdictions to streamline permit processes\n\nUnderstand local AHJ requirements as it relates to the permit process and update the AHJ database permitting requirements as needed\n\nSchedule appointments to meet customers and obtain customer signatures, final paperwork sign off and payment collection\n\nWillingness and ability to participate in the Power+ programs, which means you may be cross trained to perform comparable work in other departments or asked to perform work in other departments you're already skilled to support.\n\nOrganize all completed paperwork, and process payments in a compliant, secure manner, if assigned\n\nPrepare project documentation for construction teams\n\nUtilize software systems to record progress of various tasks\n\nAdditional duties assigned as needed\n\n Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or equivalent is required\n\nMinimum of 1 years of previous field construction experience\n\nExperience with construction permitting is preferred\n\nExposure to PV design and installation processes is preferred (Understanding of PV design and installation process required for Senior Permit Technician)\n\nMust maintain a clear driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check\n\nMust be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license\n\nRegional specific expeditors/permitting licenses preferred, but not required\n\nMust be a motivated team player, looking to succeed\n\nExcellent customer service skills\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\n\nProfessional appearance and interaction\n\nProficient with Google Suite, MS Excel, MS Word, Workflow Management Platform\n\nPhysical Demands\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer\n\nDriving for prolonged periods\n\nBe able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time\n\nBe able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks\n\nHave adequate visual and hearing acuity to follow instructions and determine accuracy of the work assigned\n\nOperate office equipment including computers\n\nTravel commercially as directed or required\n\nWork safely on construction jobsites, and warehouses\n\nRecruiter:\nTommy Carmichael ()Please note that the compensation information is made in good faith for this position only.
