It also means you can solve customer problems in one visit, keeping you safely off the road and moving your career forward.\nOverview\nTheField Performance Technicians are responsible for the management, scheduling, and completion of all service and warranty related work. The Field Service / Field Performance Technician must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of the Performance O&M team. This position will interact closely with the customers, Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team.\nE SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTroubleshoot and resolve solar electric warranty and service issues that arise with: modules, inverters, monitoring and balance of system components\n\nInvestigate and mitigate any reported roof leaks including thorough documentation: complete roof leak checklist, photos and written observations\n\nCommunicate with the Construction Supervisor, and Engineering Team members to resolve any redline issues\n\nReceive, update and complete Field Service Dispatches (FSDs) with Service Dashboard in Salesforce\n\nEnsuring the timely communication and completion of service and warranty work with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction\n\nDevelop and refine processes and gain technical skills related to service work for residential solar photovoltaic systems following department policy to prepare for advanced technical skills as FPT2.\n\nEducation And Experience\nHigh School diploma is required\n\n1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required\n\nPV design or PV electrical experience is preferred\n\nLICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (include where appropriate)\nMust maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.\n\nValid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred. Depending on state requirements an Electrical Journeyman certification or license may be required\n\nSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES\nKnowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards\n\nMust be a motivated team player, looking to succeed\n\nProven track record of excellent customer service\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\n\nStrong computer skills\n\nElectrical/PV Installation Knowledge: Working knowledge of current NEC codes. Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter. Demonstrates knowledge of electrical principles as it pertains to solar interconnection/tie-in and code and how PV systems operate. Understands interconnection activities. Understands basic construction principles.\n\nSafety: Adheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely\n\nCustomer Service: Ability to establish rapport, build relationships and loyalty with external and internal customers and coworkers, and remains tactful when communicating\n\nResults Driven: Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics.
